received mine the other day finally got around to open it up, really an impressive figure, I like just about everything about it, LOVE the mask and backpack, one of my favorite access when I was a kid and this is just a great homage.

the Mask (without the black piece) slides right on and closes perfectly

I actually couldn't get my backpack to snap shut, so it does stay partially open with just the mask in there.

The Mask sits on the raised part of the inside of the backpack...the black mask piece is not meant to go in the backpack

once placed.The pack closes completely shut

Same here. A slight gap and no type of security snap when trying to close it up tight.

That's what I'm talking about--only using the mask itself (no black mold underneath) it won't stay completely shut. Even with no mask it won't shut. It just doesn't shut and stay shut at all

Ask Sideshow to replace that piece?

Mine works perfect,so maybe its a defect

Just try putting some pressure on the top when you close it up. Just tried it and it sealed shut.
