The auction notes that the cards are marked as repro on the back.

Yup. They aren't trying to scam anyone. It's clearly marked reproduction (small print mind you) but clearly marked. Basically these are meant for the individual collector and to buff up their internet collection photo albums.

True, "those" guys are legit but to assume everyone is a good guy... :monkey1

I'm just gonna continue to play it safe. I have a MOC collection of a few but it was way early in the eBay days before collected 12" items at least I know those are true ARAH vintage.

That's scary and the reason I've abandoned MOC vintage Joe's.

but.... it looks great Kara. :lol

It does say "Reproduction Packaging" on the back of the card. Also, the card stock is different on this Zartan than on real vintage cards, and the ink used is different. But I'm sure that with modern technology it wouldn't be too too difficult for someone to create repro packages that were nearly indistinguishable from the vintage ones. In a sense, I'm actually more comfortable buying up slightly dinged cards than extremely mint ones with unpunched hang-tags because of that. If a seller was really trying to deceive and maximize profits he would create minty ones and get them AFA graded.

Not SSC related, but here's a cool item I picked up today:

I hate to go off topic but damn I love this cardback! It accurately represents the 1984 pakaging to the last detail. I am really impressed.

Thanks fellas, I wish I knew I had my camera on the wrong setting from when I was taking pictures of something else for my wife :naughty, nah just j/k.

I'm probably going to retake them so you guys can see the iris better along with the skin texturing, these pics blow. I'm really loving the contrast between the eyeball color, green iris and black face makeup...it's makes everything pop on the sculpt.

Thanks again,

Ski

No longer are we going to be allowed to call Ski's eye repaints "eyeballs". "Eyeballs" are what come out of the figure mills in China. Ski's work needs to be differentiated from those.

Henseforth...Ski's painted eyes on figures will known as...Skiballs.

Edit - As in "My figure needs some skiballs".
