I suspect one (or more) of his friends/followers "complained" about two posts I made about him in this thread. Of course, I could be wrong.

I received two notices stating the posts are in violation of forum guidelines. I replied, "Understood."

I'll need to be more cognizant of caution and discretion.

At least others are finding out about him.

Odell reminds me of another collector who always took credit online through a number of forums/groups for the inspiration/suggestion of every new female seamless figure made by PHICEN/TBLeague.

Who would have thought the 1:6 hobby is filled with such collectors?

Nobody complained.

You just posted inappropriate content.

I just saw the video online for the unboxing and went to the site. I have all of the early Hot Toys Stallone figures so that's the standard I have to hold this against. It's definitely a grade up on likeness. I'll be getting it. I'll be more curious to see his reveal on Cobra. Now THAT will be something I have wanted for a long time. This is great news. Seeing it endorsed by Sly himself is unique and definitely a great selling point for fans.

The artists involved in designing the figure are all great people and great artists

Odell has been around the hobby forever

what happened regarding Kaustic and sly and nick is what it is and at the end of the day a good business manager is going to

what could have ended ugly for everyone ended up in everyone collaborating to make new figures

At the end of the day you can’t expect the actor and studio not to want a cut, they rightfully deserve it.

Unfortunately you’re left with a product that may or may not be up to snuff for a price tag that belongs to more reputable and consistent companies like Hot Toys where there is little fear the quality will be an issue.

the truth is though for the casual collector you are taking a risk buying this until we get a sense of what it looks like.

inigo and Dario can make a killer head but what happens on the production line is anyone a guess.

I’ve asked to be uncredited for some of the prototype work I’ve painted for some companies I won’t name becusse I knew they would fall apart in production. I didn’t want my name on it and I was right.

anywhas at the end of the day I’m looking forward to getting an inigo head and maybe a couple accessories parted out I’ll get parts of the three zero repaint what I need to and build a Rambo that makes me happy and is up to my standard at the end of the day

I do hope the Cobra version goes up soon. I would like to see the consistency between "unboxing" videos.
They recorded them the same day, but we will have to wait two more months to see the "unboxing" of the Cobra figure. This is fine because the Project Director may feed the hype with more photos of the FB figure in dubious environments full of alcohol bottles, while managing the whirlwind of preorders. Obviously that day in two months is marked in red on the calendar, not because a new figure will be presented, but because that is the day guys can stop bashing the Project Director on the "action figure internet world".

IMHO and with all due respect, "Project Director" is an egotistical, erroneous, and over glorified title for you know who gives legitimate and real project directors who truly earned the title a bad rap to be in the same categorization as him for obvious reasons on full display.

I think I couldn't agree more with what you say.

Do we know if they are using the same company or factory as their previous figures? Or is that out of their control?
Back in May 2021, when I asked KP for updates on the release of the figures, they replied that "our team is only following artist direction and production management". What worries me is that, even if they take over the production, they will be subject to cutbacks or limitations imposed from above. Hopefully not: collectors deserve the best figures of these characters for the prices they are going to pay, and KP has shown what they are capable of.

I like the result, but maybe something has gotten worse in the area of the eyebrows with the painting. There also seems to be something going on with the lips, as if the lower lip is more prominent on the painted model, but it's almost unnoticeable. Perhaps the eyebrows is what gives the final result that difficult to explain "strange" touch.

EDIT: Eyebrows looks spot on on the painted model, according to the real guy. Still having doubts about the lips:

Generally speaking, when it comes to the business of manufacturing the path of least resistance (i.e., whoever can come close to the prototype the cheapest and quickest, etc.) wins because those "in charge" such as in this specific instance apparently is only concerned with producing and getting the product out to the casual/general masses who have zero comprehension of a 1:6 figure per say let alone the 1:6 hobby.

If this was not being overseen (or is it overshadowed) by the online buffoonery of you know who, and it was actually run from start to finish by the KP team by having the free reign to design, market, and produce the figures as they know how (and proven it in the past) without any interference and idiocy from you know who, then I'm confident this would be a completely different story, but no. This story is a bad trip to put it mildly.

If I'm proven wrong and the final production indeed turns out to be the greatest thing since sliced bread, then I'm fine with it and I'll likely pony up the $ and buy a Stallone Cobra figure, but as it stands now . . . nope.

Yeah, that's him alright. I forgot about all that. He was always getting into fights here and wasn't he banned at some point?
Yep that's the guy , Odell he kept getting banned from the forums but would reappear under a different profile name . He was doing that in Facebook too , I know that he has another account that he continues to troll me on .
