Yes he was, but Stallone told him after the money was raised, that he was no longer needed
Here's what Danny said:

Actually, he thinks way too highly of himself if he feels Sly was just using him in that manner.

Great clip indeed... the Li-Lundgren fight was shot and edited horribly...

Yep... I agree...

Also, the one thing I absolutely HATE about some movies, is how they hire this "Latino" actors who can barely speak spanish...
Seriously... it isn't that hard to find native spanish-speaking actors...
The guy that played General Garza ahd such a terrible NY-rican accent that I laughed every time he tried to speak spanish...
Also, a lot of the General's guards could barely speak spanish as well...
Oh well... nit-picking I know, but I can't understand how this Hollywood movies can't hire a translator or native spanish-speaking talent... :dunno

Like in POTC... who the hell approved "Isla de Muerta" , and why didn't anybody said anything... :lol

You could pick apart a lot of movies and tv shows like that. A lot of people playing people from different countries who aren't from there. You'll just drive yourself crazy.

If this bothers you, don't ever watch old WWII movies because all the Germans are British.

No, I'm cool with Germans or Romans being British...
I don't care if Cleopatra speaks English... that's fine...
I'm just amazed about them trying to make it "authentic", by hiring someone who barely speaks the language... :lol!
I'd rather have the General speak in English than pseudo-Spanish...

Well the General played by Dexter's Batista aka David Zayas was born in Puerto Rico, but was raised in the Bronx. I guess that's why his spanish was affected

Finally saw this tonight. Liked it, but didn't love it. I'm thinking the 'low-budget' nature of the film hurt it. But I'm thinking a sequel would not only be awesome, but better. Without having to worry about getting cash to get a film to work, I think Expendables 2 could be what this should have been.

And I love the idea of having Arnold's rival team in it. Get the guys they couldn't get for this one in it:

Steven Seagal
Jean Claude Van Damme
Chuck Norris (perhaps in a 'Tool' like role?)
Carl Weathers (I love the Creed/Drago rematch idea)
Wesley Snipes
etc.

Heck get some of Dutch's Predator team together too like Jesse Venture while they are at it. Or perhaps the Rock to get another WWF guy in there. Expendables 2 could be freaking sweet if they get some more tough guys in it.

Just saw this movie. Thought it was much better than Scott Pilgrim.

:lecture Couldn't agree more.

I think you'll see some new Old faces in Ex2.

I hope van Damme joins but I highly doubt it. I think he's actually lost the plot now based on the few things I've seen him say in interviews over the past few years. :lol
