Get Donnie Yen in there so he can teach Stallone how to film a good hand to hand fight scene, without all the quick cutting Bourne style close ups.

A friend of mine on YouTube told me about this fight. It's awesome. I need to get this movie, I can't understand how I missed it as I have seen other Donnie Yen films

The one thing that bothered me about this movie was the directing. Close up shots of eyes, etc. Sly can do better than that.

:lol if they get some more martial artists in there I bet it'd be even better, that fight clip that dino posted really is pretty great filming, especially considering its a fight scene

Great clip indeed... the Li-Lundgren fight was shot and edited horribly...

Yep... I agree...

Also, the one thing I absolutely HATE about some movies, is how they hire this "Latino" actors who can barely speak spanish...
Seriously... it isn't that hard to find native spanish-speaking actors...
The guy that played General Garza ahd such a terrible NY-rican accent that I laughed every time he tried to speak spanish...
Also, a lot of the General's guards could barely speak spanish as well...
Oh well... nit-picking I know, but I can't understand how this Hollywood movies can't hire a translator or native spanish-speaking talent... :dunno

Like in POTC... who the hell approved "Isla de Muerta" , and why didn't anybody said anything... :lol

Yes he was, but Stallone told him after the money was raised, that he was no longer needed
Here's what Danny said:

Let me tell you about The Expendables. [Writer-director Sylvester] Stallone said I was in The Expendables so he could raise his money, you know what I mean? [Laughs.] Because I bring in the Latin audience. So I was in The Expendables all the way up until the time they started casting. I’m not in The Expendables. That’s one of Hollywood’s ploys to… how do you say it? They have this huge cast, and then all of a sudden, when it comes time to cast, the people that actually raised the money aren’t in it.

The first part of the movie kind of dragged with crappy dialog and over-emphasis on story (bwaha like we needed to know why these guys kick badguys in the @$$ and blow their **** up), but once the action picked up...:panic:

Terry Crews and the AA-12 was memorable, as was Statham's fight scenes, and even Sly with the quick draw stuff. :clap

Too bad Trejo wasn't in the final Expendable lineup, but I think even if he was, he'd be the only expendable to die and he'd do it in the first 5 minutes. :slap

basketball fight scene was amazing :lol

The tunnel was amazing, basketball court was so so, nothing spectacular or jaw dropping.

Again, so many missed opportunities in this movie.

The dock explosion should've had bodies being ripped apart, instead they just fall into the water.....booooo.

The list goes on and on.

The tunnel fight scene the best of the whole movie for me.

Now will you guys get a load of this bull crap from lastnight's interview between Lopez and Statham.

At the 5 minute mark Lopez makes a comment that no CGI was used for the explosions!

Give me a freaking break pal, what a line of crap are you trying to feed your audience!

As has been already mentioned here before, the fire effects were pretty damn noticeable CGI and was he blind to the gore and blood on display!

Good luck finding ANY studio movie today without CGI, I don't care what like of crap is said for the marketing!
