In stock at Sideshow.

$46 to ship to Australia? Seems like a lot considering most average size 1/6 figures are $30 now.
Luckily im not interested in purchasing, would end up a $280 or more figure ordering from Sideshow lol

R2 was relatively small 1/6 box, and forty bucks. Either SS or FedEx is on a jacking-up-shipping-prices jaunt. Just as oil prices have crashed. Makes sense.

Yeah it was weird that R2 was more expensive than some of HT 1/6.

I've got a scale mirror of Erised, so this one will look good sat in front of it, looking at his parents.

I don't really like the idea of different figures with the same sculpt. They could have just done the first figure with Hogwarts uniform and casual clothes. Having these separate releases seems a little overboard. Particularly seeing as many collectors are not interested in the child versions of the main 3.

We haven't even seen one Hermione yet and they're already doing another Harry and Ron?

Yeah, but they're selling them as separate figures. And I promissed that I'd buy every one in the line. . . dammmmmmmnit. :)

Yeah thats ****ing stupid. I'm not doing that ****. Im not spending $180 for a sweater and pants for a figure I already have. Guess I won't be getting the whole line...

Those are cool. Star Ace should do a clothing pack.

I said I'd try to be completist... this should have been a clothing set :(

The idea of a clothing set doesn't work in the modern 1:6 world. As a collector I'm not going to be changing clothes on a figure, I want to pop him out of the box and display him with every accessory I can.

Also these weren't really intended for collectors who already have the first ones. They're more for mass market buyers and are much less expensive.

While my initial reaction on the Harry, Ron and Sirius variants were "good grief, double dipping already", I'm fine with Star Ace doing this. At this point I'm sure they are trying to maximize their revenue as they are a relatively small company not a Juggernaut like Hot Toys. That extra money is going to help keep the company going and it's not like anyone is twisting your arm. However I do think it will be in their best interest to reassure collectors that more new sculpts and characters are coming and when. Not sure if there is a list, but if so haven't seen it. Hopefully they will have a finished Hermione and other characters at ComicCon. I'm not sure if I will get the variants. they all look very nice though. If they clock in around $100 for the boys and say $120 or so for Sirius I might grab them, however Prisoner Sirius might be the only one I'd plan to display.

I'm rooting for companies like Star Ace and Asmus, who have these great licenses for iconic movies.
