Just purchased the movie. Much better than ID

Scene where younger Spock see's the picture of the older Enterprise crew (I had to think a sec, it's from ST:V cast photoshoot). I thought they could have used the cast picture from TWOK https://top50sf.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/wok-full-cast.jpg. But Saavik was in the picture so maybe not..

I love that scene.

I thought this film was a good mix of old and new Trek. The slower scenes I enjoyed far more than the action scenes though. Of all the new films, I would rank them 1, 3, 2. Still nothing touches Wrath of Khan or Undiscovered Country.
