Finished the two-fer. It's great (though strange) seeing the Ghost Crew back in live action form, but I do hope the tempo picks up. The slow pacing really worked wonders for Andor, but the lengthy pauses between direct dialogue on Ahsoka are a bit much.

Thought it was a solid start. A bit slower paced than I was expecting, but I still found myself engrossed in the story and had a blast seeing the Rebels world brought to life.

I couldn't help but wonder though what makes Thrawn worth THIS much time and effort to find. I know he's this great intellect but I never got the sense in Rebels that he was this immense, Vader-level threat. Especially given he was outsmarted by freakin Ezra Bridger.

I mean, Thrawn did completely obliterate the Rebel base on Atollon and killed most of the Rebels there. The only reason anyone was able to survive and escape was because of Admiral Konstantine f***ing up and the arrival of Bendu (which, as a giant force-powered monstrosity, would throw a spanner into anyone's plans!).

He's also incredibly intelligent, a brilliant military strategist, and shows near perfect power of deduction. He's pretty intimidating and creepy.

Just finished watching the 2 parter.
Interesting opening scenes ala ANH and R1 ending..
Some great character moments and cool to see the Nightsisters name dropped and Morgan being 1 of them.
Not feeling Rosario as Ahsoka...I guess I'm just too used to Eckstein, but do appreciate the physicality she brings to the role.
Dark Jedi are pretty cool (R.I.P Ray)...and I can forsee he will have a moment of a change of heart, and the Padawan will go solo on him.
Chopper is hilarious.
Love the Lothcats.

Looking forward to where this goes..

I haven't watched it yet but hope it's good. However I'm saying it here as well if I see a shaky camera for every saber fight, automatic F. That's doesn't need to be applied to every fight. It makes it worse. That's what diminished Vader vs Kenobi, outside of the forgetful music, & other factors that brought down that show.

I’m watching a lightsaber duel as I type this and its pretty well shot.

Ok sounds promising. I'll see what happens when watching but yes I can't take that. Let the lightsaber duel speak for itself don't try to force add intensity to the fight. That's what I always saw shaky camera as.

I don’t consider this a spoiler since it is in the opening crawl…..

I cannot believe Filoni is using TFA’s stupid “secret map to a person” plot device.
I was worried about that as well but
it's better developed than that, as it's a map left by ancient, advanced beings from a distant galaxy whose existence had been discovered by the Nightsisters. It did seem like Ahsoka was channeling Lara Croft solving a Tomb Raider puzzle to find the thing, and to then have the "star chart" mechanism that it activated be on an entirely different planet from where she found it seemed a bit much, especially after Sabine unlocked it without all of that. Regardless, it served its purpose in getting things in motion, although I do wonder why Morgan Elsbeth is convinced that Ezra took Thrawn to this particular distant galaxy. It seems she's assuming they're in the one distant galaxy she's heard of via her Nightsister background, but perhaps there's more to be revealed going forward.

The one thing that was spoiled by someone in a previous post was Morgan's being a Nightsister. Given that there was no hint of that in her one Mandalorian episode I did find that a surprise.

Pretty solid opening episodes, fantastic cinematography. But Andor was way more emotional to me though, probably because I love RO so much and Rebels was kinda not my thing even though calling myself a Clone Wars's fanatic.

Was anyone else thinking -
Oh, another hallway scene of a Jedi massacring defenseless rebel troops. Don't get me wrong, it looked good, but we've seen it with Vader, with Luke, which makes sense, it rhymes, like poetry. If they keep doing this on every show, it's going to lose its effect. Just my two cents.

It reminded me more of the opening to KOTOR for some reason. The overall aesthetic just gives me that vibe.

Lightsaber through central mass;

For a Jedi Master like Qui Gon, it's almost instantly fatal.

For one of Filoni's pet characters, it's just a little boo-boo.
It was very apparent where the saber went and it was intentionally away from most organs (I'm not a doctor so if there's a gall bladder or something there, sorry). So, true enough on Qui-Gon but I didn't have an issue with how they executed the scene and the recovery.
