Love it, one of my favorite aspects of R1, was seeing the recognizable Yavin, yet like the camera had briefly turned away from the action and heroes of A New Hope, and suddenly turned to focus on the unsung heroes, those who don't get the recognition, medals, or parade at the end.

Luthen literally leads a secret double life, that of an upper-class noble, secretly training a thief (with nothing to lose) to find something bigger than himself, and take up the fight.
Common tropes no doubt, just saying, the parallels here are rife.

I don’t like his new look well dressed and kempt with the fancy coat. Doesn’t feel like Cassians style.

Bet HT end up making that one.
Likely for a specific mission (not his only look)
Looks like they dropped him in a specific event or protest, where they know the Imps will show.
And he's there to bring chaos, maybe get someone out.
Part of his whole shtick is Rebel Spy, what Luthen recognizes in him, meant to blend in and infiltrate situations.
Plus season takes place over four years (3 episodes each year I believe), he's getting several looks.

Though yeah it would suck if that's the one HT went with.
Again, would rather have his R1 Standard Rebel uniform or Ring of Kafreen final scene Look - https://www.collectorfreaks.com/thr...ember-21st-2022.238250/page-123#post-11132850
Which is what Hasbro went with.

Yeah I know but they’re very much advertising it as his “iconic” look.

It’s horrible.

As long as they visit the Acolyte witch planet i’m good!
It's probably his first mission, they capture him, and give him a dress up metro-sexual makeover. :lol
Our first 1:6 Andor figure doll, will finally arrive, but in the Barbie & Ken aisle.

Orson Krennic Is Back In Andor Season 2 – And Set To Clash With Dedra Meero
“Dedra versus Krennic? I think it’s a bit of a mismatch. They’re all underlings to Krennic.” Expect plenty of jostling – even if the Imperial forces are all aligned in their aim. “They’re all going in one direction,” says Mendelsohn. “The Empire, if you speak your mind, there are differences of opinion.”

“It’s someone who has to ascend. There’s a huge mountain for him to climb in order to [become] the guy we meet in Rogue One.” And he won’t do it alone. Andor’s closest ally in Gareth Edwards’ 2016 film was K-2SO, the reprogrammed Imperial droid, voiced sardonically by Alan Tudyk. In Season 2, we’ll discover exactly how the two became allies.

"We move in space more than ever — the amount of planets and sets you’re going to get to see. There are some familiar and new locations,” teases Luna. And there’s one in particular that fans will be thrilled to get back to. “I mean, we have to end up in Yavin, right?” says Gilroy,
