Bespin, under cloudcity, no luke......

Dutchman, that's precisely one of the images I'm working on - I've also got a version going with the Falcon. ;) I'm using multiple 1920 wide screen captures and will finish it off by increasing the resolution using Alien Skin's "blow-up" program, ready to be output large format onto paper or vinyl which is probably what I'll use for my own display.

Very impressed with these images guys. Question. Where do you go to print these out? Does it cost $$$$$$ ?

I don't think my home printer could handle the awesomeness of these images.

There are dozens of places online where you can print cheaply at all kinds of sizes.

For canvas I have gone to uprinting.com multiple times with great results. I'm thinking of doing my Hoth background on vinyl banner from them. These are specialty mediums and there are just "tons" of places if you're interested only in printing to paper stock.

If you just want something smaller you can probably find plenty of places locally, such as Costco, Sam's Club or Walmart who can all probably do up to 12x18". Costco here in Canada does this size for $4.

i ran across this the other day but cant find it again...............

anyone know a hi-rez link to a good pic of this?
i thought i found a good pic at ffurg........:dunno
would love to create this in a 12" form/frame...............all i'm going to lack is a quality r2-d2.......until Tamashii puts there's out..........:)

Found out what it is... Early Bird Star Wars Package

Higher resolution but still at an angle: https://p2.la-img.com/930/30812/12084541_1_x.jpg

It was re-issued in 2005 with the release of the early bird figures pack. SO the good news is that you can probably buy it and scan it at a high resolution yourself if you want it bad enough. Prices on eBay seem reasonable at about $15-$30 (some auctions include the figures)

1k x 200 of just the figures: https://i838.photobucket.com/albums/zz303/sw4ever/12-back-stand.jpg

Here you go. 1400 x 1200 of the whole thing. This should be able to be enlarged with software to a semi-decent result.

If you'd like me to resize it for you, let me know. Just to try and meet your sizing expectations, let me know how tall you want Han to be in inches, from his heal to the top of his head. That way I can size it precisely for you.

Hey thanks for the great advice. I had never thought of that any of that as an option. What a great idea you have of printing on a vinyl banner. That just opens up all sorts of display options.

Thanks again for going the extra mile.

Very cool, thanks.
Well I guess if you could make han 12" tall. Going to make a display backdrop of all these figs. I really need to work out the length of it all. I have a feeling that may wind up too dang big........:lol

No problem. I'll post it tomorrow. Just got in and about to run out again right now.

thanks man...........i'll play with it in photoshop and clean it up a bit

A better source would definitely make for a better enlargement. Unfortunately it's the highest resolution source I could find that wasn't a photograph taken on an angle. The original display stand is a based on a painting so there's always going to be some thicker brush stroke areas, but this scan also had a bunch of JPEG artifacts which are easier to see when everything is bigger. If I spot anything better I'll add it here in the future.

Barry, Pixelpiper, send me a PM, I have the 2005 re-issue, I've scanned it at 200 DPI and can send you six scans( 6mb per file) to merge together and clean up.

Happy days

Here's something I've worked on a bit over the past few days. underside of Cloud City for 2-Shelf Detolf display. 15.5" wide x 31" tall (@150dpi = 2325 x 4650 pixels). Obviously this is a composite image, since no such scene scene exists quite like this in the movie.

I'm ceiling-mounting my Bespin Luke in a little space I have bwteen some cabinets, so the version I'm going to use myself is 13.5" wide and 34" tall - let me know if anyone wants this taller version (it has more cloud cover at the bottom). Also let me know if anyone wants a version that folds at the top to provide a ceiling image.

Bespin Hallway during the Luke/Vader duel in ESB. This one has not been passed through any noise removal or enlargement yet. Let me know if anyone wants a copy with those edits or any dimensional resizing as well (cropped to fit back of Detolf for instance).

Thank you! Great work again! I would take a copy that will fit Detolf. Could you do the other Bespin hallway too? The "upper" hallway for Lando and Han.

Ok, I'll put up a high resolution version with the Detolf dimensions within the next few days.

Do you have a link to the upper hallway scene you're talking about so that I can get an appropriate angle?
