One of the best shooters out now IMO. Plain? Yes! But that's how i like em. I like something that's easy to pick up and play and this is that game.

Bring on more content obviously, but i'm having fun.

A couple questions about DLC. This Bespin one looks pretty cool.
So I don't have any other the others, will they be needed and how does that affect player base owning or not owning DLC in various combinations? And what happens with stuff like skins and other mods people obtain?

You should be able to buy the ones you want (even if you don't have the "season pass"). There's a death star one that's coming out too. Bespin looks cool, but the flight sequences really make me miss Rogue Squadron.

Rogue squadron can be found on good old games if you're on pc.

I get the purchasing what I want, but I mean if most people get the lot do they play in the community with everyone or just those that got all DLC, and say I only get the 3rd DLC, am I automatically put into the smaller community who only got the third one. I always wonder how games are hosted when 3/4 of the players have different download content. Has there been much of a drop off in players?

From experience BF3/4 held up really well and I never got any DLC/expansions, but solely online games like Shadowrun (one of my fav shooters) died really fast and even Titanfall was a crapshoot for me as I bought it very late for the 360 and found NO ONE online to play with, lol. I returned it the next day for Tombraider.

Acually how is Titanfall now on the new machines?

I'm not sure either, i would think you're playing with everyone with the season pass and then those that just bought that one level. I haven't picked up the game in so long it's hard for me to put more money into it.

All of Titanfalls DLC was made free some time ago which removed the player base split. It plays great on PC, I still play it, the player base isn't massive, but you can always find a match in the more popular modes.

Speaking of Titanfall, all of Titanfall 2 DLC will be free for everybody, because EA is just so generous If they had done that for Battlefront, it might not have been remembered so critically...

They may still do it, but gotta give the guys that paid time to get gooder first.

I don't play much online, but have they started in game ads yet? I've always thought in particular multiplayer sports and motor racing games could have real ads inserted into the banners and background details rather than actual game sponsors or whatever... even shooters and MMO's could too! It's not unlike Michael Bay getting the cash he needs to make his movies.

Also just found out free online gaming this weekend for the PS4. I went offline at the start of the year to get some toys, so I know what I want to try out this weekend. Haven't played Battlefront since the first month of purchase, so I'm jumping straight into a TIE interceptor or A-wing!

I'm really digging the Bespin expansion... and I haven't noticed any major bugs like we had with the Outer Rim. I had at least 3 instances after the Outer Rim came out that I leveled up only to find it reverted the next day.

I really like the feel of the new maps and it does seem like they've done a better job of balancing some of the game play. Walker Assault seems like it's impossible to win if you are a rebel, but that's the only lopsided feeling game so far. And that could just be luck of the draw and not a systemic issue.

I'm not much of a gamer, but a huge SW fan so I'd guess I'm the target market given how the game has been received by more seasoned players.
