If i can't have Jabba... then there's no way I'm buying this

someone a few pages back mentioned something about how star wars fans will put up with any prices, its not just Star Wars, the whole collectable market has been getting more and more expensive since MR started doing lightsabers... which always sold out.

Then there was studio scales..... which always sold out. Then there was the Falcon and Enterprises... which sold out.

On the figure front you had SS.... and then Hot Toys.... ever increasingly more and more expensive. and people keep lapping them up! and as long as they do that.... the prices will stay

sometimes you dont have a problem with it (ed-209, power loader, or some of the SS SW 12"ers) but sometimes you end up thinking "really? am i about to pay this?" ..... but most of the time you do

I know I have said this a few times this week but wow do I love my new phone. I was able to quickly order it while I was working on a system in the jail. I can't understand how I lived before I had this phone.

No harm no foul.... Just having a bad week and here on my downtime... Looking to escape into the trully unimportant--- but for the few minutes in here incredibly important-- world of collecting.

I read on another thread that you got your Jabba---congrats. Mine and the throne are supposed to arrive on Monday but as I won't be getting home until probably next weekend I'll have to live vicariously through you lucky you know whats...

Yes what type of phone is it. I will be starting to work hopefully in the summer but hopefully I will be able to plan my lunch break around ordering the figures. If I could get one of the phones like yours and go to the bathroom for ten minutes.

I placed my order this morning at 10 for one reason: I want to see what Sideshow's got waiting in the wings. If they have a really cool Chewie and the droids ready to be announced, then I'm in it for the long haul... but if not... it's likely to be cancelled. I only have so much room to display my Sideshow Toys no matter how cool they may be... and Jabba's taking up a huge portion of it now!

I wonder how many others out there only ordered this as a way of hedging their bets against what may or may not be announced between now and Comic Con...

Been there man. Totally understand how sometimes you say things here because the real world is being a pain.

I did. He's as amazing as I remember but he seems bigger for some reason. Hopefully you can enjoy the pics I posted along with the other great shots from this board. Give ya something to look forward to. You're in for a real treat.

I forgot about this and logged on 30 minutes later, sold out. I put my name on the waitlist but I might just skip it altogether. $50 is kind of steep, why I'd prefer Sideshow to stop making these display items out of expensive materials.

Sigh. I'm ashamed to say that I did this too. God, I have NO willpower.

Look at it this way. I have no doubt that there WILL be a C-3PO, and R2 and a Chewbacca at some point. When they do - those that didn't get the chess set may look back with regret. I wouldn't be suprised to see this be worth quite a packet in a few years - its rarely the "popular" pieces that have extreme increases in value unless they are also extremely limited.

You didnt make it up. Star Wars Insider had it at $40.

I totally forgot about this as well. I got back from lunch about and hour and a half after the PPO started and it was sold out. Oh well, put my name on the waiting list. If it doesn't convert, I won't be devastated.

I just logged on to browse the ss site and got the pre-order menu thingy...ordered one only because its the only part of the movie I liked and thought it was cheap Might sell or keep in a dark corner.

I have a TMobile Sidekick 2 and can't live without it. It has full internet and i've done lots of shopping on it, even a few ppo's.
