I like how people are blaming Lucas and not Seth Green and co. :lol

saying the "Prequels buried Star Wars" is naive. perhaps the franchise is doing collectors a service by teaching them not to be completists. being a fan doesn't mean one has to stand behind every single offering Lucasfilm throws out. i may not be waiting with bated breath for "Detours", but perhaps my 4 year old nephew will dig it…

Star Wars offers something for everyone… this isn't a bad thing.

In fact it is. Because instead of doing one thing well, you are doing 10 things superficially, and I didn't want to use the word "bad"...

To people saying not to take stuff so seriously... there's a difference between good humour and this garbage. No offense, but how any adult can view this and think it's funny is beyond me. Like the joke about Dengar not having any pants on while seated behind a desk, di - did you guys find that funny? Like what's that, the 10,000th time that joke's been used? Yeah, that is just so amusing!

Looks funny to me. Some of the reactions to the pt and things like this remind me why as a whole SW fans are lame.

Give me a break. Now you're classified as lame if you think something like this looks terrible? I've always thought Robot Chicken and Family Guy do a good job at spoofing SW, but this show looks like an atrocity. How anyone could find a single second in that clip funny is beyond me.

WTF?! I don't even think Lucas looks at this stuff anymore. He's just lying on his couch like jabba greenlighting **** when he needs a new car or a pool:lol

Don't worry it will be ok. :peace

Exactly. Someone said earlier they like how people are blaming Lucas and not Seth Green. Well, George is the one who alllows crap like this to be made so obviously Green and co. are going to do the work if given the chance.

Nah, your love of the franchise has blinded you, my friend. Having standards or using your native intelligence is not a bad thing. The level of writing on this stuff is 'Darth Vader trips on his cape/Greedo steps in bantha poodoo' garbage. Pretty much writes itself but I guess to you that's comedy gold. And you best not have laughed at those two examples, dammit!

Wow. Some people are wound way too tight to be getting upset about this. There are far more important crisises facing us than a parody of star wars. :dunno

Lol, don't think anyone's upset about it. Though calling it a parody is giving it way too much credit. Only somewhat sad thing about it is that this is the best they can think to do with such great source material.

Not really. I found it funny because it made me laugh. So my standards and intelligence are just fine thanks. :) I unlike many SW fans don't take SW that seriously. It was funny to me and that's my main concern. If others didn't that's fine but some of the reactions I think are lame.

SW fans as a whole would never be wound too tight. :lol

I guess so. Maybe perspective comes with age and maturity. :dunno

On the one hand, yeah, who cares but on the other, like I say, it's too bad that this type of junk is all the franchise appears able to produce. It would be like the Lord of the Rings being reduced to Sauron fart jokes or something. Personally, I have no need to see such uninspired dreck and would prefer the three upcoming Hobbit movies, as an example. There's just no quality in this type of writing but I guess they're on to something as there's obviously a market for it.

Yeah, because saying something like that shows your maturity and lack of presumptiveness so well, VASith. *rolls eyes*

Anyway, whatever, you guys are welcome to all the Detours 'comedy' you can stomach. This cat will not interfere with your fun!

I find it hard to believe that any network will even want to air this show. They have to know it's a failure waiting to happen so why bother? Just because something has Star Wars in the title doesn't make it a guaranteed success.
