well, it looks like I'm getting it for the Wii then.

Sounds like the Wii version is getting bonus missions as well:

NZGamer: The Wii version is going to have a slightly different story isn’t it?

Dan: The great thing about working on the Wii version with Krome studios we were able to come up with some unique content - five different missions in three locations that you won’t find on the PS3 and 360. One of those missions is the Jedi Temple; it kind of weaves into the story. Darth Vader sends you to the Jedi Temple; it has been destroyed after the Clone Wars and you’re there investigating, you’re seeing what’s going on and you go into these Jedi Trials which teach you about yourself, makes you stronger and puts you against these enemies that you’ve never seen before, for example, the ghosts of long dead Sith opponents

As long as the controls work, it seems that the Wii version is the version to get.

"To be specific, there's no multiplayer in the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, because there is on the Wii, PSP, and DS. As far as specific reasons are concerned, we don't really like to get into the reasons why we don't do things because I don't think there's really a satisfactory answer that people would really be happy with. So, there isn't multiplayer and that's kind of how it is..."

Then I am not buying your game and that's kind of how it is.

^^^^ idiots!! You know how much $ is to be made on a next gen online SW fighting game? I just don't get their logic.

SP mode has to be near epic for me to get it now.(or i'll get it for Wii, if it's online MP that is)

Yea, remember seeing it at Celebration IV last april and it looked interesting, but don't know why it's taken SO long to come out.
Because LucasArt$ in their "wisdom" decided to throw all their resources on the "Force Unleashed"... a game that will still ship some 18+ months past its initial target release, and without Multiplayer in its best two versions. :clap Good job, you $@$#*! tools!

well, it looks like I'm getting it for the Wii then.
Screw the Wii version. It won't have the complete next-gen physics engine, which is kind of the point of the whole f'ing game in the first place.

So, the only version of the game with MP is the one with the inferior technology and gameplay. Once again... :clap Bravo, LucasArt$.

See the above.

And that's my point behind NOT buying the game no matter how great the single player mode may be. For their answer to be "We didn't feel like making it MP on those systems so piss off" means they can kiss my ass. I may love SW, but I am sick of the Lucas ca$h cow and their attitude of "This is what you get so buy it and shut up".

F them.

That's awesome. :rock

I'm still looking forward to the game though. My little cousin has a Wii so I'll let him get it on that, where he can bring it out and I can play the vs with him. Works nicely for me since he's the only one I would be able to play it with. Guess I'll have ot buy him a second controller though. As for me I'm going to buy a PS3 specifically for this game.

And that's exactly what they bank on. There is nothing wrong with looking forward to it so I don't meant to put down what you say, but their attitude just blows IMO. They really do have a "take what you get and shut up" attitude.

Do you not have a 360? That version will likely be better, since they based the next gen version around the 360 architecture first.

I don't care, though. LucasArts can kiss my ass on this one. I escaped the Lucas slave ship years ago.

Dunno About that. Devs are getting more and more used to the PS3.

VideoGamer.com conducted an interview with Cameron Suey, the producer for the PLAYSTATION 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. What everyone (well, maybe not PC gamers) will be happy to hear is that there will be a playable demo. No specific release date was mentioned, other than Cameron stating "We definitely want to get it out there." Maybe that will help in deciding which version to go with if you have both the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3.
Comparisons between the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 releases are inevitable. Although Cameron stated getting the game's Havok, DMM and Euphoria engines working together was "a little easier with the PS3,"

Euphoria is what this game is all about and if it's easier on the PS3 they should be damn near identical.

it'll be neet to see how it all came together in the end. as i get closer and closer to graduating, and i get deeper and deeper into game design, i get more and more respect for what these people do.
A thought on multiplayer. we've seen how complex the physics engine is, as well as the force powers. imagine the processing power required to pit two Human controlled entities using said powers, against each other.
that's the reason i've said from the begenning that we would likely not see multiplayer on this title. it's not a FPS, and it's not Kotor. it's more akin to Legend of zelda or fable, and therefore not something where i would expect to see multiplayer, even before we take into account the game's mechanics.

Well, the PS3 was the reason why it was delayed for the second time, otherwise it would be releasing pretty soon.

Well, in the game it already has other Force powered characters like the main character, so it's not an issue of processing power (although it might be if multiplayer were split-screen) but originally they were going to add multiplayer and now it's just that they don't want to.

They've put so much time and money into it already that they probably don't want to spend even more time on multiplayer. I bet they're thinking that just the Star Wars name will be enough to have big sales---and the thing is, they're right.

Same with GTA, and the PS3 supposedly came out better with some reviewers. The time of bad ports is over i think. (except for company's that just throw out ^^^^ on a regular basis anyways)

I expect the game to be identical and a wash in terms of which one is better.

yes and no. coding an npc to be able to think and react to what you do is one thing, but we don't have REAL AI, all npc's in the game are all more or less if/then statemnts reacting to what you do. add the imput ontop of that system of a second human controller, well... trust me when i tell you it's more complicated than you think.
Can they do it? Sure it can be done, but we're talking like another Year, minimum of codeing and debugging.

I agree with you. It is a crappy attitude, and I don't blame people for not buying it because of it. I think sales will suffer for it. It just doesn't effect me enough to not buy it. I wouldn't have played the multiplayer much anyways.
