You obviously can't beat Vader though. The ending of this game will be interesting since I imagine the main character will have to die (or at least go into hiding)

Exactly.....he can't "beat" Vader and he's never heard from again so he's either dead or in hiding like Yoda.

Unless the ending sends the story into a speculative alternate universe where Vader is destroyed.

And I'll probably pass on the game until it's on clearance. No multiplayer is completely inexcuseable considering how long it's been delayed. Also, Lucasarts' firing of the core development team once their work was done leaves a very sour taste in my mouth. If they were hired exclusively for this game, then OK. But apparently a lot of those guys were around during the TIE Fighter and X-Wing era of the mid-90s.

Talk about gratitude... :rolleyes::monkey4

Game looks good, but I hope they tweak the proportions of Vader's helmet and mask.

How can you tell its off? I'm not seriously looking at it that closely I guess.

Justin you need to try and enjoy stuff more. Your gonna give yourself an ulcer nitpicking everything. :lol

Eh. I stopped caring about this game about 6-8 months ago... and then the lack of MP and all the stupid gimmick of all the versions across platforms killed it.

For all those confused by the trailer, there are multiple endings, so that's probably just one of them...

Remember, ONLY the canonical ending MUST have Darth Vader survive to fight another day...

Yes, but you guys are forgetting that this is now an officially licensed part of the Star Wars Universe.... take that into account when you're thinking of how we know things now. He can be written into many other new stories to come. Doesn't mean he dies, or goes into hiding. Just new stories... Just like how we thought Boba died. Then he was written into a lot of EU stuff.

Well really him being so friggin' powerful with the Force and then being beaten by Vader who has been said to be weakened in the Force due to his mechanical limbs seems contradictory so I'm not really going to put this game into my own version of canon. I'm just looking for a game that's really fun to play. I think this will be it. And of course I'll have to play multiple times to see the various endings. :lol

Remember, Vader was SO MUCH more powerful in the force then everybody else, him being dimished still makes him a threat. Plus, he has amplified speed and strenght from the suit (which it doesn't say in the movie, but in the books, he can move extremely fast and has great strenght) and has his saber skills. So even like the way he is, he's still powerful. Read DARK LORD (sequel to Revenge of the Sith) to see how powerful he is.

I'm just looking forward to playing this game and not really taking it into the whole cannon thing.

I read Dark Lord but I've forgotten most of the details, but that's a good point. I was thinking in terms of the explanation of why the Vader and Obi duel was so tame. Mostly I just don't care for the excessive Force abilities this apprentice has (except for them making the game so awesome). They just don't seem to fit in well with the rest of the universe.
