Would like to see an AST-5 in the series, would look cool watching it start and land.

We get more screen time with clone troopers in this series, that's as good as it gets for me.

Wanted to see Jedi Interceptor fighters in this series, but I suppose that doesn't occur until the start of ROTS.

I agree...I still need to see Bacara and Neyo at some point though

Alert! New Clone Wars season finale trailer on USA Today's website at https://www.usatoday.com/life/comic...aul-debuts-in-Star-Wars-Clone-Wars/53221760/1

Spoilers: there's a quick, nearly full-figured glimpse of Darth Maul. You've been warned!

Awesome. I don't care what your stance is on Maul coming back, these episodes are going to be high octane and super exciting. Still, I got to say, and SW purists may hate me for this, but I think Savage is cooler than Maul.

Holy crap, that looks to be one of the best finale's in a show...EVER!!!!

So glad Maul legs are from the visionaries/PF, to make everything just for continuities sake

I still can't deal with bringing Maul back. Worst idea ever. I can deal with stuff in the SW universe like bringing Boba Fett back. Him surviving the Sarlacc story is actually believable and well told but Maul... He was cleaved in half and fell down a shaft! How does one survive that?

You've never heard of Peng Shulin?

I agree. He is dead in my Star Wars universe, and I am extremely disappointed that Lucas isn't opposed to this. But I think this is him realizing he could have and should have not killed Darth Maul off in The Phantom Menace.

I am down with they should not have killed him off in the first place. I really like Darth Maul and think he is a super cool character but him not A) Dying from being cut in half and B) Not dying from falling down a shaft really bothers me.

It's really Boba Fett all over again. I understand George probably thought it was a good idea and at the time, SW was all about Vader, but how do you just kill him off in the first movie seeing how excited fans were about him?:slap

I think it would've been an interesting sub-plot if Dooku and Maul got to compete as to who would've served Darth Sidious.

With all these characters who die and come back, it really makes everyone's death less believable and makes one wonder, "They're probably not dead. They'll come back." :slap

It's no harder to believe then surviving all four limbs lopped off and burning to a literal crisp on the shores of a river of lava and then being vacuum sealed into a leather and metal cyber suit while your skin is still smoking.

Wasn't Grievous shot down by Dooku and the only parts of him that survived were his heart, eyes, brain, and a few other organs? And I doubt he's as strong with the force as Maul.

And there's also Anakin who was delimbed and set on fire by LAVA which he was laying a foot or so from after dueling Obi-wan for what seemed like a year.

Oh, and I seem to recall Luke Skywalker falling down a similar shaft...AND SURVIVING... :dunno

I don't think Grevious can use the force at all. This trailer kicks so much ass...I'm amped for the final two weeks specifically. I wonder if anybody dies this season....the only two that I think are a possibility are Savage or Asajj, but I think everyone survives for a climax in season 5.

Vader. Super strong in the force. Nearly died kept alive by sidious.
Grievous. Mangled and according to the short story killed and implanted straight away.
Luke. Slowly slid to a halt.

Maul. Cut in half and fell god knows how far and received no assistance.

Mummmmm

Maul= dog food

Yeah, falling down the chimney won't necessarily kill someone as Luke showed. But I still find a complete torso with head loosing arms and legs easier to save than getting cut those vital parts within the torso. So many humans in the real world suffer from losing arms and legs, but as long as the inner parts are more or less there and working, why not.

So I agree: Bringing Maul back: WORST. SWU. IDEA. EVER.

Plus: If something essential like the return of a killed sith happens, why not in the real prequel movies that followed?
Bringing him back in the clone wars really only makes him an additional plastic figure to make money with.

Maybe he fell through a little opening and slid down into a medical lab..

You're just hating because you want to. :lol

How do you know he received no assistance?
How do you know he didn't..idunno, cocoon himself in some force bubble until he was strong enough to crawl a little ways and get some temporary fix up..

There are many possibilities..and he IS back. So, instead of saying it's ridiculous when you don't even know what happened down there, and when we've seen just how powerful the force is, why not just use your imagination and be glad that one of the most badass characters of all time is making a fresh appearance..

Also, Maul was obviously much more..emotionally..sane, more put together than Anakin. He wasn't the "OHH GAWD WHAT DO I DO" type, he would see the situation and use his training and force/sith power to do whatever is going to keep him alive or complete his mission.

Maul was like the true embodiment of the Sith's strength and power. The fact that he survived all of that and is coming back just shows how deadly the Sith is.

Grievous has no Force ability.

And he was actually surgically injured--Dooku sabotaged his shuttle, but while he was unconscious he had more done to him, he wasn't actually all that badly injured by the crash.

He's not back as far as I'm concerned. Tcw is a parallel world for me. That's my choice ( I accept that you view may differ)
Maul was bad ass and that's what made this death so cool.
And largely this is what I struggle with on the tcw. Dooku is cool because he doesn't fight anakin and when he does he's killed. Having characters continuely battle each other makes it like the poorest aspect of marvel comics.
I am prepared to be persuaded other wise but I can't see them managing it :dunno

As I said before, it should've been told in the two other prequels, because he is such a huge character! Digging him out in season 4 of a sideshow is Meh!
