Cool. So they're taking lore from the EU books. Interesting.

He knows. Niltusk was responding to my comment about this new baddie "technically not being a Sith", informing me that his rank/status is "Inquisitor".

I dont know much about EU stuff, but I definitely like the concept.

Same. The only EU Star Wars book I've read is the first Darth Bane novel, though I have a shelf full of EU books...

Usually I hear that all the EU blows, but I think this "Inquisitor" concept sounds pretty awesome from the link you posted.

From what I've seen, The people who seem to hate the EU stuff are the people who hold the books in such high regards that they automatically condemn shows for changing "canon".

On that note, the only EU I've read was Shadows of the Empire and I wish there would've been a movie, even animated, about it.

I am fine with EU stuff. But the design of the Inquisitor looks to me to be something thrown in to pacify the LGBT community.

EU is hit and miss. ALOT of the Early stuff ( Marvel comics, Early novels, etc) are pretty bad. Choc-full of Cliche, and things intended to pander to movie fans... it just comes off bad.

MOST of the stuff from about the late 90's on is pretty good. Basicly, if it was written BEFORE the release of Phantom Menace, Be wary of it, but give it a chance. MOST things post phantom menace are pretty good.

Though, killing Chewbacca did put ALOT of people out.

Don't see why, He died a hero. AND he was getting OLD. Better a DEad hero, than a wookie in a rocker with a blanket

I don't know about the later work being superior. I agree that A LOT of the early novels were filled with cliches, but there were some good ones in there as well. Also, except for a few exceptions, the earlier novels were the only ones that focused on the OT cast in their prime. After reading a few novels that focused on the skywalker and solo kids, I realized that I would prefer to mostly read about the further adventures of Luke, Han, and Leia. Guess it just depends in what you want out of the EU.
