I still was hoping to get a more realistic graphic out of that series.. but looks pretty much for kids again...

Was too into Clone Wars to just start fresh on a new SW animated series. I'll give it a shot but so far not much is intriguing me.

Kyle Katarn, anyone? His history is even a bit more complex: Imperial turned mercenary turned Rebel turned Jedi and then he disavowed the way of the Jedi after succumbing to the Darkside only to take up the lightsaber again. Not saying it's wrong to copy things they've done. I love Kyle Katarn. This looks decent. Voice acting sounds bad, animation looks dumb, but the premise is cool. Too bad it's for kiddies because the perfect end to the series would be this Kanan fellow's death at the hands of the Empire fighting for the Rebel cause or something.

:wave

Yet another reason to pass.

What's wrong with Kyle Katarn? He was a way better "Han Solo type" than Dash Rendar. He didn't have much in the way of characterization outside of the game manual for the original game as I recall but FPS in those days were lucky to have as much story as Dark Forces did. The second game and accompanying novellas helped flesh him out. The decision to have him turn to the Darkside as canon in Mysteries of the Sith was somewhat bold and it helped set up his internal conflict in Jedi Outcast. He had actual depth and a way more interesting character arc than any of the G-Canon characters of PT and CW.

Not sure why I'm defending my position. It's your opinion. And your opinion usually is negative of anything on top of that :lol

Looks cool, but ugh, that voice "acting" by FPJ. Geez. Kanan seems like he would have been a perfect character to be voiced by Zachary Levi. I'm sure he would have done it if asked.

Absolutely nothing, he's my favourite SW character.
That's why when I see something so pathetically ripping him off I don't want to waste my time trying to watch it.

Surprised more of you aren't excited about that clip.

This was always going to be a "kids" show, I mean it's a cartoon on the Disney channel after all.

I already think it looks to have a lot more depth and maturity than the Clone Wars cartoon did, and I was a fan of that one.

The whole outcast, Han Solo/Jedi character who's lost his way angle does seem a bit cliche but it looks like this character is going to be given a good amount of respect and development IMO.

Freddie Prinze Jr. really threw me for a loop. I think the problem is the animation is so close to the Clone Wars, they should have gone with a differant style to set it apart.

That and it's about a jedi and he's fighting a sith. I think alot of us heard "Rebels" and expected no such characters as Jedi to be regulars or a lead. I thought they really wanted to be differant and set things apart but this kinda feels like more of the same. It isn't what I expected from Disney who's trying to be so differant.

Can't wait to see more complete clips. Wonder how many jedi refugees will pop up in this series, also would be cool to see some clone deserters.

Yep, same. Doesn't seem like it's bringing anything new to the table but then I doubt that we're in their target demographic. Only thing I'm interested in, in regards to SW, are the live action movies. These cartoons don't do anything for me.

Very interesting they're adding a female Mandalorian to the group. They definitely feel like a rag tag group, I'll give them that much. I'm looking forward to the premiere.

I dumped cable four months ago so I hope the episodes will be on starwars.com after they air on TV.
