Very interesting they're adding a female Mandalorian to the group. They definitely feel like a rag tag group, I'll give them that much. I'm looking forward to the premiere.

Hopefully that's not just to cater to the young female demographic like Ahsoka did initially.

I'd actually be ok with that only because I felt Ahsoka was handled excellently. Am I a fan of her, meh...but she wasn't the annoying brat I thought she'd be.

When she first debuted, she wad definitely annoying and it was obvious what they were trying to do. I've no doubt it was Eckstein pushing for a maturing Ahsoka that led to her character winding up a crucial part of the show... at least IMO.

I agree. Ahsoka started out a little immature and wasn't handled very well. However, the last three seasons and especially the last four episodes she was handled very well. I'm willing to bet she gets a cameo with a tiny bit of what happened to her in Rebels, in fact Filoni has even hinted at it.

Did you miss that this is airing on Disney XD? :dunno :lol

Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra are both "kids" shows with beatiful animation and mature themes and loveable characters. It's really no excuse in my opinion that something that is made for kids has to cater exclusively to kids. Disney was responsible for producing Gargoyles back in the day. I rank that with the world of Avatar and B:TAS as the greatest kids cartoons made for adults.

I can get over the animation if the story and characters are worthwhile. My biggest issue is the voice acting. Sounds horrible. I do love all the OT sound effects and technology shown though. I'm not expecting this to be good but it'd be nice to be surprised if it was.

People claimed the Clone Wars was a kids cartoon as well, but I don't remember the last time kids were wholly entertained by full episodes of political espionage, dismemberment and in a few cases, death. I think this will be the same situation where while the animation is "kid friendly" we'll also get mature themes.

:blah:blah:blah

yeah animation looks very childish .. almost anime kind of .. not sure what to make of this.. my hopes of getting something realistic looking like the old republic cinematic trailer are dead anyway..

pink gear with heart shaped influence... no catering here.

I think it's hilarious that the lead young character looks like Aladdin...maybe he'll break out into song and Robin Williams will show up for some voice work.

I'm more excited about seeing more Clone Wars on Netflix than this thing (so far)....
