Cool episode. Definitely had an aliens theme to it. I think they even took some cues from the movies for some of the music in this episode.

....Well, this is it! The moment of truth, the great build-up is over... will Star Wars Rebels finally grow-up and drop its balls? Star Wars Rebels FB page is teasing this like it is the end of Ashoka, we shall see. It's not that I dislike Ashoka, but this show NEEDS a shake-up, it NEEDS some valid tragedy. Does Dave Filloni have the balls to kill-off his own creation in order for her to actually fit into established canon?
We shall see...

That ending was laaaaaaaaaaame.

They wussed out completely.

And that answer is apparently NO.

I keep seeing people on Twitter and Facebook positing stuff like "WOW!" and "OMG!!!!" as if something major and consequential actually happened. :huh

So Maul kills the 3 meaningless one-off villains and that's a big deal? Kaydan may be blind now, is that the big stinger?

Obviously, Akshoka will live, which is an extremely lame and cowardly cop-out. This show has no balls, even when it has the perfect opportunity to have them.

Oh well, at least the live action films are on the right track.

.....I kind of thought they did kill off Ashoka... they just chose to make it all off-screen and 'artsy'. It is a damn shame, for almost 55 minutes I was thinking Rebels was actually finally living up to its namesake. Then with that unsatisfying ending. Why do they have to slap Vader around... cmon!!!! Can't Vader get ONE, just ONE walk off victory?

Oh well.

Loved the finale! Also this allows Maul to have a role in S3 if they so choose, they got rid of those annoying Inquisitors, and Kanan's injury shows they're willing to add some stakes for a kiddie show. Sounds like some are disappointed Ahsoka survived, but I'm not. Really looking forward to the next Ahsoka-Vader (final?) showdown. Plus Ezra is totally gonna go all Sith on the Ghost crew, least I hope.

Anakin voice/Vader voice combo was ***** chilling... reminded me of Luke's words of conflict in Vader. I now wonder now if the canon will make it so the Emperor designed Vader's helmet to voice scramble so that even the voice of Anakin died. I mean sure Vader sounded like that from 70's but could be good play.

I thought the finale was really good and I loved the duel between Vader and Ahsoka despite it being a short one.

Same here, I'm glad Ahsoka wasn't killed since she's my favorite character from the CW.

I've become a huge Ahsoka fan over the years too. Unfortunately, the entire episode helped make you feel that it was her time to die but then they backed out of that decision during the last few seconds.

This would've been one of the best "send offs" of a tv character, especially with that build, but I guess they had to pull their punch at the last second as to not have too many kids sad today.

It's already problematic that Ahsoka is supposed to exist during EPISODE III. It would be downright foolish if she's still alive during the time of the OT.

This is the problem with contrived characters like that. Forcing them into existing continuity after the fact does not work.

She has to die. But Filloni and this show apparently don't have the balls to do it. Shame.

Why can she it exist? She isn't a Jedi, so it doesn't contradict anything OT does it?

Yeah, I have no problem with her existing, as long as they can tie it in nicely. Technically, you don't know there's multiple things happening in Back To The Future when you watch it for the first time, so retro-fitting something can be done properly:lol

IMO, I don't think Ahsoka's existence contradicts the OT in any way.

Like you stated; she isn't a Jedi, she's a Force wielder.

While I do agree with Jaycepticon that her death would have been a good sendoff for the character, I'm glad they didn't kill her.

I still think they're gonna kill her off eventually, they still have another season or two to do it. I also think Vader should kill Rex, that would be the fitting end to both those CW fan fave characters.

Then you will die braver than most. *chills*

It does feel like she might (emphasis on 'might') but I'd be glad if they don't. The whole Ahsoka/Anakin confrontation was amazing! I love Vader in this series and he's so freaking menacing, seeing his eye was chilling.
Maul being back is cool and I really liked his sleazy manipulation of Ezra.

I'm glad the inquisitors are gone, they were getting annoying and... heli-saber......

The only thing I wasn't super fan of was the last shot. I mean Ezra is definitely not above falling to the Dark Side but he didn't fall during the whole ordeal and why would Kannan leave the Holocron with him?
Also is no one force sensitive anymore?? Yoda can't feel the Emperor next to him, Kannaan doesn't feel his padawan using anger, Ahsoka doesn't feel Maul...
