The big question is which child still watches TV? Mine sure don’t. They turn on the TV and immediately say to the remote.....YouTube or Netflix

This is very dumbed down to what some adults think would appeal to children. I hate movies and TV shows that do this, as a kid I could easily watch movies that had more maturity to it's tone and not feel like I couldn't understand or enjoy what I was watching. ANH and Empire had a mature tone and were appealing to kids, it's when we get to ROTJ that it starts, and that is really what doomed the Prequels.
SW: Rebels had a bit of this, but as the show progressed, it seemed to have a more mature tone and I found it more enjoyable.
There's no reason a Star Wars cartoon can't appeal to both children and adults.

It hasn’t even aired yet, how can you judge it so completely. You could say they trailer gives that vibe, but you never know til you see it in full. And just like clone wars and rebels, give them alittle time to warm up

Meet team Fireball..... :slap

Poor Dave Filoni. After such a poor reception with the 1st trailer they force him to do an intro with a new video. And he is not wearing his hat... When does he not wear his hat?? Is that a quiet call for help!!?? :lol

This is a train wreck. Disney doing damage control yet again. All these new ship designs. This takes place before TFA & TLJ soooooo, none seen in either movie? Sorry but, looks so bad.

I also just looked for the 1st trailer on Disney YT to see how many thumbs down it was up to, 88k.

"She's tough, no nonsense, kind of has attitude."

So ****ing original HOW DID THEY EVER THINK OF THAT??????

I do not at all care for the animation style but I can get over for a great story. However if this is taking place during the new trilogy with Poe and Rey then I can't see myself enjoying this at all. They need to go backwards in the timeline and do a show that takes place before TPM.

This is garbage. We all know it's garbage. But it's for kids. It's no different than the dozens of garbage toy-ad cartoons we used to sit in front of on Saturday mornings or after school on weekdays. Those are garbage too, but we defend them cause we were dumb kids when they came out.

I complained about this cartoon in this thread, but I didn't bother "downvoting" it on youtube. I think that's really childish. A bunch of guys in their 40s trying to influence and eradicate a stupid kids' cartoon?

Just don't watch the stupid thing. I sure as hell won't. But it makes no difference in my life whatsoever that it merely exists. If kids wanna watch let em. Hell, let adults watch too, I don't care.

But why go all the way to the point of trying to get the stupid thing eliminated from existing? I don't understand that kind of vitriol from adults.

LOL, just imagine the 40-years olds who grew up in fallout shelters, writing letters trying to get Transformers canceled.

I think adult fans of Star Wars are hungry for some good Star Wars stories since they're not really getting it from the theaters so there hoping Disney will do another adult oriented "Clone Wars" type shows but unfortunately it doesn't look like that's where Disney wants to go with it, seems there really pushing for the young kid market... I'm assuming so they can sell toys related to the show...

^this 100%.

I had never previously considered watching Clone Wars or Rebels thinking they were going to be way too kidsy, but the direction of sequel trilogy has left me wanting some better star wars stories. So i've recently burned through Clone Wars and I am now on to rebels.

One of these creators are actually passionate about Star Wars.

SWR is a kids show that's scheduled for Sunday nights at 10 PM. :lecture

I finally decided to start this series and see whether it's worth watching. Unfortunately I couldn't get past the first 10 mins. Oscar Isaac's performance is just awful. You can tell he was reading his lines alone in a studio as he isn't at all playing off any of the other characters, whereas the other actual voice actors are doing a good job. Kaz just seems too annoying and sort of an A-Typical SW character where only 1 person see's his potential and at some point will slowly start to show how extraordinary he is.

I watched about 5 minutes of the second episode and was utterly bored. I don't think I made it to the first commercial break. I don't see this series lasting too long.

How can one rate a whole season of a show when only, what, 4 episodes have aired?? Give me a break.

I think most actual SW fans aren't even bothering to watch this. Not the casual Pop Culture fad fans that like whatever his hip, cool, and popular. And then pretend to just love it (to me it's like sports fans who have a new "Favorite" team every few years, and coincidently just happens to be a winning team). I mean the fans that have absorbed SW for 40 years and long for more.

I have no opinion. It was on the other night and I casually came across it. Changed the channel in about 10 seconds, not even giving it a thought... :lol A friend of mine has a 2 year old and a 6 year old and this is not how he wants to introduce them to SW.
