Garth Vader

I wish Garth was a Jedi...

In 1977, I thought the Jedi Order was a small elite group.

Now, as I understand it, any idiot can be one. They have Younglings. Broom Boys.

But there's only "The One" with the power... OK, TWO... Two with the power. Three if you count Kylo. So, Anakin, Luke, Rey... and Kylo. Wait, that's four. OK, four...

I always thought of the Jedi as an allegory to the philosophers of Plato's Republic. The Jedi were very high-functioning, exceptional beings in terms of their capacity for metaphysical knowledge and wisdom, but as a result of that came the ability to harness the force (and all of its mythical gifts).

In comparison, there's nothing exceptional about Rey, since she was just written as the greatest Jedi who ever lived without the wisdom to show for it. Same for Kylo, and he was just an angry edge-lord. There's just no rhyme or reason to why some of these characters could even harness the force to begin with.

And more and more people begin to fall in line with my position.... one thought to be heresy until now.... one where they finally accept Star Wars can no longer be fixed and instead must start fresh. Star wars must be reborn, free of the cancerous rot that has spread through it. It is time, for the (endless retonned surving) Jedi to end. Forget the (Disney) past, destroy it if you have to.
