I will stand up to be counted among the friends of Solo. So much good character stuff & I honestly might buy that Maul Hot Toys dolly.

And while I don’t share the TLJ love I find myself getting excited anyway. It’s in me bones, I guess.

I saw a suggestion in the other thread (sarcastic or not) and thought it would be a great place for people who are excited for The Rise of Skywalker to post. I'll let you all decide if you want to discuss spoilers here.

For people who don't like the ST (and that's perfectly fine, its your opinion), please don't spread negativity in here.

I love RO, love Mando, really like Solo, and revisiting TFA on Disney+ has reminded me that I really enjoyed that one too. TLJ is the iffy one but I won't get into that in this thread. Suffice to say that if I like TROS all will be forgiven. I have a feeling that I will too since "my" SW allows for certain elements that it looks like TROS will be bringing to the forefront. I'll know for sure in just a few days of course.

So to start, who here has their tickets for Thursday night?!

Felt the same. IMO deserved far better - and surprised me. That's what I get for listening to massive negative hype. Intriguing characters. IMO some issues with some shots being too dark but man, some good stuff.

As for folks swearing they won't go to woke TROS - *shrug*. As many problems as the movie industry has, and as much as any SW costs, we're lucky we're getting more SW. Some of those shots are probably thousands per frame. Just hope I don't go in mega-spoiled; hate doing total self-quarantines.

And I hope the preview that will happen with Mandalorian doesn't spoil anything either. If it's one of those "stick around for" things, will I have the strength to bail out?

You know what I am constantly amazed about Solo? That Soundtrack....its really incredible.

I'll be going the 21st, since the 20th is a school day. Not sure my eldest daughter really cares about going though, her Luke-crush ended when she saw how much he aged. I'd love to also take my 4 year old, as she loves Star Wars, but can't imagine her sitting quietly for 2 1/2 hours.


Fair advice Khev, I just figured most would extend the courtesy of leaving that stuff out of this thread. I guess the main thread isn't enough to ruin.

No negativity intended at all, but are the words "positivity thread" seriously going to permanently stay on this thread?

Can't it be "Star Wars Sequel Trilogy Fan Thread" or something (ie for fans of the ST)? It reads a bit "safe space"-ish otherwise.

And thanks for creating this thread, KerotanFrog. It's nice to have somewhere where you can express your enthusiasm for the sequels without it devolving into an exhausting debate.

I'm also looking forward to ROS. I don't have my tickets yet and it looks like I may have to wait til after Christmas since there is so much to do around this time. But I love the hell out of the sequels and Solo (don't like Rogue One though) and re-watch them all the time.

So far the trailers look gorgeous.

I do think the title alteration though is a more appropriate title. I’m just saying I personally wouldn’t have changed it simply because someone else doesn’t like it, if what I initially titled it is what I wanted to call it.

True, but I changed it more for appropriateness. The original title was more of a joke (hence the !) haha.
