Disney blows. Seeing the total minutes, ratings, I interest not just Acolytes but Star Wars in general is finished.

It's a property that is a shell. Disney will not stop with their next project...

Eventually they'll do something good 5 yrs from not, but much like Andor, no one would care.
I care. 😁

I'm already budgeting for my Luthen Rael and Cassian figs. "All those who have power money are afraid to lose it".

Just give me my Andor merch. And maybe there'll be a decent Mando flick. After that they can let it rest for a while - although I wouldn't mind an Obi season 2, obviously with better everything.

When you play with your Cassian and Luthen, what scenes do you recreate?

Luthen don't play. He's too epic. And Cassian shot a whiner in the back. None of this guilt trip *&^%$#

But if I had Acolyte figs I could get a disco ball, keep the room dark and tell everyone it's "the best light saber fight since Anakin even tho nobody could see what is going on".

I think this might be my last Star War tonight. I need to make better decisions.
You'll be happier. Very liberating. :lol

My last Star Wars was Andor. And almost skipped it because of BOBF. Although I did find it very boring and it almost put me to sleep a few times. But it was well written and produced, for the most part.

Instead I now just cherish the good ole days. The stuff I liked and ignore everything since then.

It's even funnier when you think about that with The Acolyte. What are kids gonna do, recreate that epic scene where the white Jedi levitates, goes into a Force coma, then wakes up only to drink poison to end his guilt over wanting to go home?

Or a group of kids, each rocking their own witch figure back and forth, making moaning sounds before everyone abruptly drops their figures at once? Or take the wookiee out in the backyard to scan for vergences. I want someone to make a vintage style Kenner commercial showing all of that, lol.

If the intent or messaging involves discussing socio-politics, topics critical of DEI or anything of that nature, then it'll have to go into the DEI/Political thread. You'll just have to use your common sense, in regards to that.
So if movie/show producer intent is to provoke division (sparking fan/media reaction) by openly embedding politically divisive messaging detrimental to the cohesion of community - including the fanbase - it can be provocatively discussed by them, with the backing of their corporate parent, but not by the fanbase?

The entertainment landscape has changed soo drastically in the past decade-plus (largely due to social media) so citing a forum rule that's unchanged from pre-2010 just seems to cover your eyes to the new reality we are living in.

As discussed, this is the era of major directors/producers/actors of the very SW projects we are discussing here directly engaging in heated social media wars with fans in provocative/politically-charged ways. They do it openly and it's widely reported - yet even civil discussion of the same topics here (often in response to those activities) is frowned on, deleted or hidden away.

It's a weird combination - major Fortune 500 corporation openly enables divisive and provocative political messaging in its product and backs open discussion of it, while forum for maverick fan "Freaks" does the opposite.

Anyway, I won't comment any further - and feel free to move any/many of the past 36 hours of posts to the dark rooms including this one (though discussing political commenting isn't itself technically political commenting.)

You can feel free to take up those issues with the site administrators if you wish. I didn’t make the rules here, but as a moderator, I have to follow the guidelines in place.

Do you really though?

Live and let live man. Everybody here is engaging the site, and with the differing opinions it's still all very civil, and was before even the "dark room" threads were created.

Even those of us who disagree with you are being civil about it. :duff

Yesterday I purged all remaining Disney figures from my collection, 3x Mando Ahsoka Tano, 1x Mando Luke, Mando himself was purged months ago. I feel much cleaner now. Now my collection consists of just OT and PT along with Obi and Ani in their Clone Wars armour, not even sure about those two either to be honest. Moving forward I am going to be a George Lucas movie only collector. In a way it felt disrespectful to those 6 movies by George to have Disney figures in the same room! I am done with Disney and their poor quality Star Wars.

The finale, like the rest of the season, was so poorly executed I once again couldn't believe my eyes.

There's a laundry list of things wrong with it that made it the pig slop it is, with absolutely nonsensical plot holes and barely literate scriptwriting....but it's not even worth going into.

At least it's over.

I'm tired. It's all so tiresome.

What a lame, predictable finale. A decent lightsaber duel (with shades of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) and brief, gratuitous glimpses of Darth Plagueis and Yoda can’t paper over the huge cracks resulting from amateurish storytelling accompanied by shoddy editing and the lead actress’s lackluster acting. If this show gets a 2nd season I’m going to throw up.

I love to be a contrarian and so I'm gonna be a bit contrarian here.

Final episode: certainly better than last week's.... whatever that was. Bore-fest? Snoozeathon?

The problem for Leslie and co. is that I still dont care about the main character. She is boring and her twin bores me too. Angst! Separation! Agony! Oh the drama! .... Don't care.

One thing that interests me is that all this about the Jedi, about the Sith in this show strikes me as kind of Legend-y. The Jedi are still - really! Yes honestly! - still rather evil and underhanded and serving their own interests. Vernestra Roh is the true villain here. I dislike this person. These Jedi are like a bunch of Vulcans going off about how emotions are bad, while said Vulcans are still throwing tantrums or just continually making passive-aggressive digs. Yeah ok. Show me that emotional detachment, guys. I'm waiting.

That little padawan with his braid coiled up in the back, that skinny one - annoying af.

I still like Sol. He has massive flaws and he's interesting. He TRIES. He does wrong but he tries.

Qimir is the only thing making this show at all worth watching. You know, Sith or near-Sith dont make any bones about it. They may kill you. They may use you. They will tell you that up front. They often display considerable personal charisma. Qimir makes these Jedi look bad! WTF! At least you know what you are getting when you deal with him.

You tell me how these Jedi are any better. They do all that, but under the guise of GOOD. Yeah, -that's- right out of Legends and I said what I said.
