Better is very subjective.

In my case Im not too fond of a couple of the main characters, so Rebels is not better for me.
I'm rewatching Rebels as a time filler. Just luv the Puffer Pig. :p IMO for an animated series there are some slyly funny lines, and the characters are so well filled out.

Yeah BB has it's hokiness too but I've decided the sugary bs is - well, Filoni. There's just some stuff u put up with but there's also pretty complex arcs as well.

Except with Mando I think F&F forgot u don't have the luxury of messing about live action.

All I care is that Kanan is one of the main characters you like/adore and we're good. I know Ezra and Sabine aren't everyone's cup of tea. Zeb is just mostly a Wrecker type doofus while being occasionally useful so I'm going to assume he's not a problem since you like Bad Batch.

It was about the journey and we actually saw a lot take place during an interesting era of Star Wars that can always use more story.

From the industry side, what I'm hearing in rumors is that there is a proposal for a new animated series focusing on a character named Dash or Dasher, something like that. Timeline is post Empire but before the Sequel Trilogy. From what I can gather, the major setting would hypothetically be a big space station or something similar to a Death Star. Some of this is apparently stemming from feedback from some people who are saying Cross Hair is just easier to write. I'm not saying this potential character would be a carbon copy of Cross Hair, but it's probably not going to be a standard good guy like a Wedge. That might line up with what you said you wanted in terms of different SW eras that have been somewhat unexplored, but maybe there is some good potential narratives/world building there.

OK you guys are not letting this thread die. Including that traitor, Jye who is all now YEAR OF THE PRAETORIAN!, having kicked the DCU into the gutter and turned his back on The Bat. Fickle! What is Bats gonna say...

Meanwhile: IS. THIS. WOLFFE. the suspense is killing me. Who the hell is this?!!

Looks decent, but not enough to get me to rejoin D+.

I'm still hoping they decide to release all the new animated stuff (CW s7, TOJ & Bad Batch) on disc since they did Mando, Loki & WV. Would be nice at least for CW s7 for those like myself that own the first 6 seasons on BD (& 4 seasons of Rebels as well). Disney needs money, so hopefully they do.

Have you ever considered sailing? I hear the seven seas are lovely this time of year.

:rotfl

I must say I do do that from time to time. But mostly for older stuff I haven't seen in years, currently not available or have no desire to own or rebuy (upgrading from DVD to BD/4k).

I prefer to watch stuff for the 1st time in the highest quality possible. And do my 65" 4k LG Oled and 7.1 HT system justice.

Assaj, eh? OK.
I liked her better bald. But at least the hair's not purple.
Please tell me that this just a flash of nostalgia bait for the trailer and that the Batch don't end up as supporting characters on their own namesake show because like Disney has never done that before, right? Animation looks great but after the major yuck that was season three of Mando, expectations are tempered. Hope they end it on a good quality note...

I too am worried about Ventress "taking over," if they want to do a Dark Disciples show they should do that. I'd watch it, altho I have little love for Quinlan Vos.

Bring on all the figures. Including Scorch.

This trailer is suprisingly spoiler-y. Spoilers everywhere. Just glad theyre not shunting this to next year.

I’m sure Ventress is just an episode or two guest star like Fennic and Cad Bane were in season 1. She was an unresolved loose end from Clone Wars so it makes sense to check in on her. And yeah, maybe that back door pilots a series for her like Bad Batch had in the final season of Clone Wars.

Don’t see how it’s relevant to this show though. The only way she can show up is in a flashback because she was killed by Dooku before the end of the Clone Wars.

Only way they’re hearing about Ventress if through Quinlan Vos, if he somehow shows up.

Filoni the king of retcon and resurrection will just change it so Ventress either didn't die or returned from the dead.

I will watch it, but just does not do as much for me as the Clone Wars did. For me in terms of the animated shows it was very much Clone Wars, Rebels and then this. I will say Tales of the Jedi is good, wish we could get larger seasons of that or more Clone Wars but with this great kind of animation!

Looking forward to late February now.
  • The last season of Clone Wars dialed it up. I wonder if the last season of Bad Batch will follow suit.
  • I’m curious if they’ll have the guts to let those who are presumed dead stay dead (presumably).
  • The series had some genuinely moving moments (e.g. Tipoca City). I hope that we’ll see some more this coming season.
  • As always, fingers crossed for a Mars Guo cameo :p

I think Im just still irritated over the Mando series and how that was pulled in eight different directions in order to facilitate fanservice. That was annoying.

They're going to have to replace the Batch with a new show about clones. Wonder if they might make one about Rex and/or Cody. People want to watch clone characters and imo they are ending TBB too soon.

The trailer pretty plainly showed that Tech is irredeemably dead, imo. A lot of fan groups are still ardently in denial of this. Every day they reassure themselves that Tech is some kind of Night Trooper now, he's undead or a science experiment or ten thousand other stupid theories. He's dead, 💯 and a bunch of people are bout to get their fee-fees hurt.

I have a feeling Echo is about to be dead, too. 😔
