I'm curious what effect this movie being as bad as the PT will have on me.

My wife already hung up the punching bag. :lol

My gut feeling though is that this new series of movies will be a series redemption story.

My gut feeling will be that this will be a remake of ANH with different characters, just like JJ's first Star Trek was a remake of a ANH with different characters! :rotfl

Disney spent a fortune on this license, they need to make this a decent movie in order to keep milking the license. I actually like TPM, but I suspect this will be better with less of the goofy detractions.

Look at all you old bastards with your cold dead cynical hearts!

The PT really caused irreversible damage didn't it. :lol

It will be fun to see what happens when the new trilogy is over and done, there'll be 6 Star Wars movies (inc PT) vs the 3 original trilogy movies. With the OT oldies still hating on anything other than OT, in ten years time who are now the biggest Star Wars fans: the guy who only likes 3/9 movies or the guy who likes potentially 9/9 movies... :D

I'm 44, and I still run into people my age group that have never seen Star Wars.I don't know why but I find that unbelievable! My first impression is "Really? you've NEVER seen Star Wars, any of the movies? My second thought is "You lucky bastards! You don't know how much money you've saved over your lifetime!"

That's exactly like one of my brothers, has only seen OT (and Raiders) once each and owns zero movies, has a 120 inch movie screen theater room just for sports. :lol

Has never seen any Superman, Aliens, Terminator, Predator, Die Hard, or Batman movies.

Not Batman 89 or TDK.

Never heard of BvS, doesn't know that Affleck is playing Batman. :lol

But he knows the name of every sports player in the world, I think he saw Rocky once. :lol

My wife had never seen any Star Wars movies when we met, so, many of the cultural references involving Star Wars had gone over her head. It was funny, cause she used to really like the show "Friends", every now and then an episide would come on and she would be like, so that's what that joke meant!

Star Wars is so embedded in the culture, that I never understood how anybody over 30 could have possibly never seen it.
