Movie would've been 100% more powerful had Han "brought him home" and he killed a Leia in front of Han, then Han.

Wouldn't Snoke want him to trick Han into taking him back to the goddamn rebel base!

I wonder if he'll try and kill his mom. He obviously wants to bring down his uncle.

Oh, and how come Leia, Ackbar, and the rest of the resistance didn't try and high tail it out of there and evacuate the planet when the Starkiller was firing up? Poe and the other pilots were already in space and knew their orders, what does it accomplish to have your main leaders and generals at the base during the strike? And before WWEJedi comes in and is like "well, they did it in the first Star Wars too!", we actually saw the First Order abandon their posts seconds before the Starkiller blew up (how Hux managed to find Kylo Ren and they all managed to escape in the nick of time, trash compacted Phasma included, is beyond me). So it's jarring that the Resistance wouldn't do the same.

I really liked that one FO officer being like, "look around, all the higher up including Hux are gone" when he was asked why he was abandoning his post. That was a nice foil to the Empire and Tarkin where they were too prideful and unintimidated to leave the Death Star.

I've also been thinking that. Vader begins ANH the personification of evil and gets redeemed. Kylo has to work at being evil and through sheer effort on his part cannot be saved.

Of course it does force one to see Han & Leia as crap parents and Luke as a failure of a teacher.

Nah, because Ben's fall was done off screen we can make all the details as cool or stupid as we want to imagine them to be just like Old Ben's "failure" that he spoke of in ANH.

It is natural for parents and teachers to feel guilt for kids who turn out bad but the literal truth is that it isn't always their fault. I'm going to assume that was the case with regard to Kylo until proven otherwise.

Wow $238 million on opening weekend :hi5:

$517 million for Global launch :clap

May The Force Be With Disney :lol

Actual numbers are in....

$247 million haul in North America, $9 million more than yesterday's estimation. With that international figure now revised to $281 million, Star Wars: The Force Awakens has roughly $528 million worldwide.

Yeah some plan General Leia bring home a dark Jedi so he can wipe out your entire resistance base, the FO wouldn't even have to charge up their dumb weapon. :lol

Grumpy kid blew it!

He could've killed everyone Anakin style and taken the map.

I bet Snooki is going to let him have it.

It will definitely surpass these numbers, this week especially for those who waited to see it or those that want to see it again.

Could hit over $700 million internationally by New Years

But this is the best chance of Avatar going down.

Yes, if TFA doesn't topple Avatar I can't imagine what will in the foreseeable future. By the time Episodes XIII and IX come out people will be pretty accustomed to new SW films (Rogue One, Han Solo pic, etc.) that I'm sure numbers will start to diminish.

Avatar's numbers are just so damn high I'm just hoping that TFA at least sinks that cruise ship.

Avatar's numbers are just too damn high.
