so many assumptions... so many have it "all figured out"... one of the greatest things The Force Awakens has brought back to the franchise is a sense of participation... there are so many answers that we do no not have... time to look away from one's screen / cel phone and dust off the imagination...

the story is already in progress... the parameters have been widened... the mystery of Star Wars has returned...

It took a mere 20 days for the film to surpass the previous record of $760.5M held by Avatar, which not only took a total of 318 days to achieve, but was spread across two releases.

Harrison Ford now tops the BoxOfficeMojo people index, surpassing longtime chart topper and fellow Star Wars alum, Samuel L. Jackson. The domestic box office take for Ford's films before adjusting for inflation totals a whopping $4.69 billion, topping Jackson by $73 million. Adjusted for inflation, Ford has no competition as his total reaches $9.36 billion, over $2.2 billion more than Tom Hanks in second place.

I agreed with most of it. :gah:

Now i'm depressed, it brought up all my repressed Han feelings from opening night, why did I go and read that right when I was enjoying the movie again.

After watching TFA I realized what the essence STAR WARS for me is.....Han, Chewie and The Millennium Falcon. Seeing those three brought the 7 year old in me.

We finally have a live-action Star Wars that didn't use wipes for scene transitions. They were cool in the OT but I didn't miss them.

I thought they used a wipe early on from Jakku to the Star Destroyer gang.

My brain may just be filling in the blanks. Trying to remember the "workplace violence" meeting from yesterday afternoon, all I can remember is me walking in -wipe- me walking out.

I hope TFA special edition has Han yelling NO on his way down the shaft towards the light.

:lol :lol :lol

I like Han's Character arc. Feels less Hollywood to me. More like Shakespeare.

Also the part that resonated for me wasn't Chewbacca's howl (as it was for the author of that article) but when Han puts his hand to Ben's cheek.

Were there none at all? I noticed there were many jump cuts and found it distracting to be honest to not have them.

They were doing so really fast cutting back and forth but nothing that mirrored the wipes of the OT as far as I recall. I'll be sure to make note for viewing number six. :D

I can't remember if there was a swipe, but there was DEF a swirl out of some steam/smoke or something on Jakku.
