Stores were completely ready for this release my god! went to some Targets and there were three displays and a ton of exclusives. Then I head over to Bestbuy four BB-8 displays full of Steel books and reg blu Ray and reg DVDs versions

Walmart had some displays but they were the weakest next to TRU. I guess Walmart only got a small amount of different cover exclusives, so that was disappointing however they had a replenished amount of action figures. Saw a good selection of BS and 3.75 " BS figures.

TRU was pathetic but what I expected.

Perhaps the shocking moment for me was walking into the Disney Store and seeing every single Disney Elite figure..and I mean rows of each Disney Elite including, Boba, Vader, Stormtrooper, Anakin, Grevious and the usual TFA characters

Seriously, I've never seen an overwhelming amount of exclusives that Target and the BB had with steel books.

Disney IMO wants everyone and their pets to purchase the blu Rays and DVDs like never before.

BB for example, usually I see maybe 5 to 10 steel book exclusives on a hot film

Today I counted forty in one and 50 SBs in another BB

Target exclusives with extra footage are maybe 10 to 20 copies. Today I saw three full displays of exclusives :horror

I got my blu-ray yesterday :yess: but haven't watched any of it yet. It's gonna be a Friday night movie, beer & pizza night with some friends. :woo

Two hours of work to go.

Stay on target!

:lol :hi5: :rock :rock

Man, I live in the middle of nowhere. Ya'll with your fancy Targets and Best Buys. Off tho walmart for me after work. :lol

Same here. My city is a geographical oddity...25 miles from everything. :lol That's why I love Amazon Prime two day shipping. :yess:

I'd go extra sharp myself, but happy wife = happy life. :lol

:lecture :lol

That is COOL! :rock :rock

Finally something interesting in the movies section besides the bitching and complaining about TWD and continual arguing in BvS.

Wife is taking the kids out of town for a few days to visit her brother / sister in law and their new baby. Work schedule prohibits me from going soooooo after going to the gym...tomorrow is TFA, Thursday is BvS, Friday is fellas and Saturday is honey due then back to being husband and dad.....:yess:

Agreed! :)

That is so cool! I bought the Sphero BB-8 back in late October and love it, but the novelty does wear off as the article indicates. Having him watch The Force Awakens with me will be fun. :)

Got my shipment notification late this afternoon from Best Buy, so I'm hoping my Steelbook will arrive by the end of the week. If it does I'll have a pizza/junk food and movie night on Saturday.

Right on! :hi5:

What a shame that they brought in the dudes from The Raid...just so that they could stand around and be eaten by a cgi monster, such a waste of talent.

That being said, really enjoying viewing this at home, even the dumb RATHTAR scene has slightly improved.

I guess it didn't like dark meat because it didn't eat Finn right away, although it did eat the brown asian dudes so who knows, maybe it was full already.

If it weren't for Harrison Ford and Daisy Ridley, that entire sequence would've felt straight out of the Prequels. It kinda does anyway. It doesn't bother me as much as it did on first viewing, though. And it gets easier to "digest". Mainly because Han is so great there.

You are correct, saved by Solo/Rey, but honestly the only truly weak moment in an overall very SW movie.

Sure there could've been more "resistance base" tension at the end but ultimately the tension fell on the shoulders of the Han/Kylo conflict.

Wow, one has to use the subtitles to understand what is being said by Yoda during Rey's vision.

They did a horrible job mixing in his voice.

Why even bother to use him as a critical narrative tool if you can't even make out what he's saying!

Obi Wan fares slightly better, 1 out of his 3 lines needs the subtitles, the "Rey" and "These are your first steps" can be heard clearly.

His "The Force will be.." can not be heard, it is drown out by the sound effects.

Still a great vision though, I love what must be the inside of the Jedi temple crumbling around her.
