Something new for me watching this at home.

I love Han's face when he sees the FO taking out the Republic planets with their literal Death Star. Not a weapon just named Star but an actual Death Star this time out!

Anyways, ever since Han got involved saving Luke at the end of ANH, the OT Death Star never succeeded at taking out any planets.

So here we are now, 30 + years later after the Endor victory and Han is witnessing FIRST hand the FIRST (Order) successfull attack against a planet...multiple planets no less!

He went back to being a smuggler, no longer getting involved with the politics, and what happens....BOOM!

His face shows that!

Love it!

It was also the one other thing (in addition to the Force) that ANH Han initially didn't believe in (that a space station could eliminate a planet.)

Oh man got to love subtitles.

After Rey escapes her shackles and Kylo has his tantrum with the 2 troopers walking away from the cell that Kylo is in screaming, I thought Kylo was just yelling out a generic "Arrrrrg!"

Nope, he actually screamed out the word "Guards!" when they show the 2 troopers do an about face and leave. :lol

watched the blu front to back last night. :lol

Looked and sounded awesome, I loved the special features but am a little disapointed in the table read, as I was expecting the entire read and not just a little doc. However the "Secrets Behind The Force Awakens" was amazing, I even swelled up bit.

If you don't want a steelbook, then I'd go with either BB's regular release or Target's.

I'm headed to BB tonight to pick this up. A question for Ween or anybody else that might know. Is the content in the SteelBook the same as BB's regular Blu release? I don't collect them so if I can save $8 I'm gonna do it. Just don't want to miss out on any deleted scenes or bonus goodies.

Target is the only exclusive that gave extra bonus footage

BB's steel book has the same content as all the regular and non target exclusives everywhere else. Just a steel book casing

It would've been awesome to see the full table read but no way in hell were they ever going to do that!

Save your $8.00. Target has the additional 20 min of bts stuff while the digital only release had the 1 extra deleted scene that Irish already posted here. :lol

With two kids I watch subtitles for everything. Feels naked without. The way I roll at 40!!

I hear you! :duff:

The Disney lithographs just arrived at my house safe and sound. I'm a little bummed that the "Table Read" was just a few minutes of gloss. The way they billed it I thought I was going to watch the entire two hour read.

But man, that transfer, so gorgeous. I don't miss the 3D as much as the IMAX aspect ratio though, really wish they had included it.

Don't want to even know, dude.

Yep, parenthood. It's at the point that when my kids are watching something on their own, they want subtitles, too.

Funny, my kids go silent when the TV is on. Maybe it's because they don't get to watch it too much, but they go into a kind of trance. Though when we saw this movie at the theaters, my daughter actually was constantly asking questions, trying to understand things. They don't usually get shown adult-type movies.

I can imagine.

"Daddy, why do I feel like I need a bath?"

"Daddy, why are Batman and Superman bad guys?"

"Daddy, can we please go home and pretend this never happened?"
