He's perfect!

I never understood that damn scene in ROTS! Why didn't one of them just stop and stab the other one?

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

I think it's obvious that it's supposed to be some sort of dramatic, force build-up or whatever. I don't think it makes much sense but it never bothered me. Far worse things in the PT. :lol

Good question for Palpatine as well. How is this a viable defensive move? :lol

All Palpatine has to do there, even if Windu is out of physical reaching distance, is use the force to throw his sabre directly forward suddenly.

Remember when Vader blocked Luke's saber in front of Palpatine's throne in ROTJ? I always thought "Why doesn't Luke just turn off his saber for a quick moment and turn it on again while it's pointed at the Emperor's chest? Dead. Done. :lol

:lol Never thought of that. But then he'd be defenceless against Vader.

It always looked to me like Luke's saber was on the Emperor side of that cross. I always thought to myself, "why doesn't he just flick his wrist to the right?" :lol

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

I wonder is there some sort of sensor in a lightsaber that prevents a user from accidentally igniting it in their own face. Perhaps it also prevents the user from igniting it into one's enemy.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

Like everything else in the galaxy the Emperor was in control of that lightsaber so even if Luke had decided to attempt that I'm sure old Palpy would have been prepared. :lol

LOL! Good point, but I don't think it would have worked.
Everything at that moment took place exactly how the Emperor has foreseen.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

reading the article, sounds more like a typo in the Clone wars episode, than anything else.

It's not a typo, they say it in the trailer. I hear though there might have been a copyright issue with whatever author came up with Korriban, though I had thought that anything created in Star Wars books/comics/games was copyright to Lucasfilm so I don't know if that's true.
