If he'd been dressed in a fur coat he'd be ******ing Chewie's son.

I think he looks cool. Real iconic look to him. I wouldn't **** him though as I'm not attracted to men.
:lol

Yeah he looks cool in a a sort of ugly way, i reckon he's playing Dr. Evazan's son :lol

More (Possible) Major STAR WARS: EPISODE VII SPOILERS

This week, Latino Review's Star Wars news round-up article features details from a guy who claims to have read the second draft of J.J. Abrams' and Lawrence Kasdan's Episode VII script. A lot of it fits in with previous rumors, so beware of potentially MASSIVE SPOILERS

Dave over at Latino Review came across the following (purported) spoilers for Star Wars: Episode VII a while ago, abut now that some of the information provided has also been reported by several other sources, he felt it was time to share it. If this is on the level it confirms things like Luke's near 30-year absence, the female lead being Han and Leia's daughter, another lead being a Stormtrooper and much more. Plus, we have quite a few new and VERY interesting revelations too. This isn't confirmed of course, but since there's a decent chance at least some of it is accurate, have another SPOILER WARNING before reading on.

>Leia is made leader of the Republic after her predecessor's death

>Han is a retired veteran of the Republic fleet

>Luke hasn't been seen in nearly 30 years

>the lead character is Han and Leia's daughter

>the other lead is the child of Lando, and either a male or female depending on who is cast

>the other lead is a Stormtrooper, also either a male or female depending on who is cast

>dialogue for these two characters is very rough in the second draft

>Luke has no known offspring

>The Empire still exists in the form of a number of loyal galaxies and are in a state of cold war with the Republic

>The Empire is simply referred to as the "Empire," and the Republic is referred to formally only once, as the "Galactic Republic;" no "New" anywhere

>There are no Jedi whatsoever, and people still speak as if they are extinct, with Luke being "the last of his kind"

>The main antagonists are an older student of the Emperor, and his apprentice

>The apprentice takes control of the power dynamic between the two pretty quickly...

>The Republic are excavating ruins on a neutral world for a weapon; the world factors into tense negotiations the Empire have had with the Republic, and is referred to as the "Sith Homeworld"

>Loredump: In the script, the Sith are a couple thousand years old, founded by an ancestor of Palpatine called Ruin; the apprentice in this film also goes by that name >the ruins within the Sith Homeworld are a control station; the planet itself is the weapon

>Luke saves the day at the end, but in a bad way; he has changed.
Lando's child could well be played by Lupita Nyong'o, since we've previously heard that Daisy Ridley would be playing the daughter of Han and Leia, and John Boyega is rumored to be playing the Stormtrooper, Also, is that a tease of a Luke Skywalker heel turn in the next movie? Again, we have no way of knowing if any of this will even carry over to the final film -- even if it is on the level -- but what do you guys think?

I'd love it if absolutely none of these spoilers carry over into the next movie.

Luke sounds like the only cool thing about all these "spoilers".

Jeez, those scenarios for Han and Leia sound pretty uninspired. I think I always saw him as going back to his old ways after ROTJ, almost like a bit of a crime boss. And Leia... I mean she's Luke's sister - wouldn't it make sense to have her gone through some kind of training involving the force or something? Putting her right back into a senator/political type role will relegate her to Mon Mothma.

Stormtrooper bit is from the ill-fated SW TV show (following disillusioned sandtrooper occupier character.) I think that all started with the 1990's jokes about the "regular guy" stormtroopers who all perished on the death star.

And man, poor Billy Dee - "next generation" Calrissian potentially has a major role and he's stuck in the parking lot of a Ralphs in L.A. talking to some TMZ guy.

Already sounds too complicated.

I'm waiting for Sith codex to be confirmed next. :lol

yeah, didn't follow the codex thing in MOS at all... (Russell Crowe's plan was to annihilate earth just like Zod, right... hmm) so let's leave that out of EPVII...

Oh, I didn't mean it in a bad way -- I think that "rough around the edges" look will fit in well with Star Wars. I won't be thinking "There's a Zack Efron-type movie star up on the screen, it's just an ordinary guy suddenly in extraordinary circumstances", just the way it SHOULD be for Star Wars... if that makes sense.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

Eh. Sounds fine. Those are all fairly broad strokes. It can still be pretty good based on the rumors. It's all in the execution.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

I'm especially wary of the "Luke missing for 30 years" part. No likey.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

Maybe missing for 5 years or something, but not "immediately" after ROTJ...

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

I didn't at first too.. but I am warming up to it... what has he been doing for 30 years? Makes for some interesting speculation, I guess.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

Shortly after RotJ he may have learned that the japor snippet Padme was buried with was stolen. So he has been out looking for it!

:yess:

Yeah, you just defeat the tyrannical EMPIRE, reunite with your long-lost sister after finally realizing who she is, make new friends, and are on the edge of bringing back a lost group of peace-keeping warriors.........and you go off and disappear for 30 years!?

OOOOOOOOOOOOhhhhkay.
