I still love ANH, and Empire, but I tried rewatching Jedi recently and only got about half way through. Too much rehashing, back to Tattooine, back to Dagobah, back to the Death Star, ends with a big space battle. Lucas definitely took the path of least resistance with that one.

I felt that way since the movie cast was announced. I will be happy seeing their characters on the big screen again but it won't be enough to make it a great SW film. Grandma and grandpa Skywalker / Solo still need to have some kick - ass in them.

I'm fine with Luke. Hamill's exactly the right age to play the wizened Obi-Wan role, but who the heck really wants to see cool pirate Han Solo in his 70's or sexy princess Leia well past her prime?

Won't shock me at all if a main OT character gets killed in the beginning of the film. Like Kirks dad... What would JJ do? Hmmm?

Valid point about Hamill. I have a little more confidence Ford can pull off a decent performance while I have no idea what to expect from Fisher.

Lucas found a way to ruin what we thought he couldn't possibly ruin. That is why ROTS is such a fail to me. Moreso than any other film in the saga.

Huh... I'd put ROTS just about on par with Jedi. TPM was 99% crap (Maul being the only cool thing) and AOTC was 95% crap (I liked the Kamino stuff) But Sith overall was pretty good... I think.

I'll accept your 85/90 for SW/ESB only if you put LOTR at 100%.

What separates them apart is that the good parts of Jedi are a billion times better than the good parts of Sith.

I hate all the CGI in those "films." Even the storm troopers were cgi. How hard is it to get some dudes in costume like the original films? Even the most basic environments were made in a computer.
