You mean Prequel Trilogy.

Which is the great benefit if this news is true. Because the current PT would no longer exist. :devil

Damage control:

That being said, this rumor should be taken with a huge grain of salt for a multitude of reasons. First off, it’s still very early days in the development of the Boba Fett spinoff and perhaps a little too soon for Lucasfilm to cast the role, although it could be feasible that the studio is already discussing potential casting choices. Even then, the casting of Jordan as the famous bounty hunter does not make immediate sense, given that most of the roles he has taken on before have been very different from what playing Boba Fett would call for.

However, it’s not completely off the table that Jordan could end up playing Boba Fett. For one, Jordan has massive acting chops and elevates almost any role he takes on. Also, one possibility recently discussed has been the potential of Boba Fett being a mantle that is passed on rather than remaining the same character from Episode II: Attack of the Clones for the entirety of the Star Wars saga, which would potentially explain the casting change. If nothing else, the selection of Michael B. Jordan as Boba Fett would make for an interesting casting choice, although with the movie still being some way off, it’s likely going to be a bit longer before we find out who will play the infamous bounty hunter.

Though 'Boba Fett' being only a 'mantle' makes him a less interesting and enigmatic character. And less worthy of his own stand-alone film.

I don't mind a bad child actor, but Hayden's wooden acting and one and only facial expression that rivals Ice Cube's constipated look is comical and tough to watch.

I would say the scene where Vader and the Emperor watch the construction of the Death Star was fine, as well as the final scene in tatooine with the the sunset.

Well that final Tatooine scene always struck me as weird - ''oh look this jedi has just handed us a newborn child. Oh look the sunset that we see every day of our lives, lets immediately stare at that instead.''

Agreed on the other part though. A bad child actor has an excuse, he's a child. And in fact, if you look at the DVD extras to TPM, fact of the matter is Jake Lloyd really was the best of the bunch. He was quite lively compared to the rest. A similar comparison can be made between any given OT actor and any PT actor.

OT acting - not oscar calibre by any means, but lively at the least
PT acting - 9830039-Old-plank-of-wood-isolated-on-white-background--Stock-Photo.jpg

Let us hope you all don't whine about TFA as you do the PT.

Well it will certainly help if the ST aren't ***t. And I have a funny feeling they won't be. I think the people involved will have a clue this time.

Boba Fett is not black. Hopefully Disney does not cast him, would be stupid. As far as the mantle passing thing, that is even dumber. Get the kid who played Boba in AOTC and have him play Boba in the stand alone.

Yeah, either get him or have Fett never take the helmet off.

The judge dredd movie worked even though he never removed his helmet. Michael b Jordan is not good. Just a fad actor right now. I'm actually ok if they want to not whitewash the character. Just cast it right. Stay away from fad actors.
