I have a serious, honest question,

What was the point of these things? What was their plan? What were they even going to do when they got close to the 10+ AT-AT's
To just crash against the bad guys?

What were they planning, and how come the bad guys didnt just shoot them down?

They were distracting the enemy to stall for time, expecting a response from Leia’s distress call.

Some of them did get shot down.

They just went out of desperation to keep them busy. They retreated when they got overwhelmed.

Lol Finn is such a bad character. No offense but you take the only black character you have and make him chase the white girl around that he barely knows and then after being friend zoned he then must hook up with the frumpy annoying Asian chick.

Their speeders had guns so their plan was to get close enough to the cannon to blow it up so that they could hunker down in their bunker until help arrive. The bad guys did shoot them down which is why they called off the attack. Finn was the only one to get very close but the guns on his speeder melted away preventing him from firing (though it seemed like he was planning a kamikaze attack from the beginning.)

I can't really think of much to enjoy in this thread even taking the topic of discussion into consideration, but if you say so.

You forgot "and how did they both survive the crash in the first place." Yeah I don't have a good answer to a single one of those questions, lol. The music was cool as Finn was preparing to die though. Rose's determined look right as they collided looked pretty silly too. Dern's performance as she turned the cruiser around and hit the hyperdrive was leaps and bounds better.

I still love the Crait battle over all. One of the biggest mismatches in the entire Saga considering those rickety little speeders were basically tethered to the ground while trying to dodge both AT-AT and TIE Fighter fire from above.

If I had to fan-splain it I would say Finn & Unconscious Rose retreating to the place The FO was about to obliterate were considered less than a threat. But they could have thrown a line at it.

When Poe jumped into the trench right before the cannon went off you see one of the speeders being blown across the ground behind him. I guess you can say that maybe Finn and Rose were pushed half the distance to the bunker by the energy wave or something, lol.
