It's been rehashed a dozen times on this forum, Anakin was just as OP as Rey was right off the bat in TPM....

I, and many others, are enjoying KK new trilogy just as much, if not more then PT....

Better dialogue, better acting, better sets , less CGI,

The Mary Sue argument is getting a bit tiring and worn out really..... always makes me think of people who just might be part of the He Man woman haters club....

I don't remember little kid Anakin doing the Jedi mind trick on anyone without ever having witnessed it.

He also didn't go in and fix Amidala's broken starship single-handedly while the actual pilots of the ship sat there dumbfounded.

We call her a Mary Sue cause she is the quintessential Mary Sue in every possible way. She's perfect, badass, better than everyone, no flaws....she's the new owner and Captain of the Millenium Falcon. R2-D2 is her new astromech droid. Her signature weapon is Anakin and Luke's original lightsaber.

She's garbage. She's a garbage character that had zero development. So you sit there and accuse anyone that doesn't like this lazy storytelling of being a "woman hater?" The fact that she's a she has nothing to do with it. Little kid Anakin was also detested, and he didn't do a fraction of the amazing, awesome, perfect, badass things Marey Sue did.

You can't be serious?

Anakin in episode one is already some kind of genius mechanic able to built a pod racer and then actually racing in one (which was said to be impossible for a normal human).

He shows extreme confidence for a kid, flirting with Padme, someone older than he is.

He is also able to deduce that QGJ is Jedi when no one else did.

He has the highest midichlorians ever, even higher than Master Yoda. He also shows amazing aptitude when the council tested him and the only reason he wasn't admitted was because he was too old and has an attachment to his mom.

Also remember that he single handedly took out a space station when all others veteran Naboo pilots were being slaughtered.

If anything I find the characterization of Anakin even more unbelievable than Rey.

Im not so sure why dislike the overpower, badly written and nonesense character has anything to do with your accusation labeling me as "woman haters" .

I love every single characters from SW(OT-Clone Wars-PT) so far...male/female/alien (yeah that include annoying Jar Jar Bink) i really dont care. The latest SW movie -RO with Jyn Erso as leading female role, I love her too. But Rey is the exceptional case, I just hate her to the core.

Little Ani not that OP as you described. His amazing flying skill was mentioned mutiple times during the movie, winning the pod race (remind you little Ani did fail many many times before QuiGon and Obiwan crashed on Tatooine and joined with him on that destined race)..unlike Rey who mastered everything and succeeded anything with her first attempts. And accidentaly landed on Seperatist mother ship with the help of R2-D2 and fired laser bolt at the core reactor really not something connected to the Force if you belive Ani that strong .

Well Anakin is a "Skywalker", a "chosen one" anyway. Why would you even compare Anakin Skywalker to Rey ? Rey is a nobody, a living embodiment of "feminist ideology" - that Kathleen Kenedy is the mastermind.

Rey is the Chosen One, back in its original [female] form to end the galactic conflict once and for all by redeeming the last Jedi (Snoke) and enlisting his help to vanquish the ancient fear (Ren) that began the war of Light vs. Dark many millennia ago.

You're criticizing a roughly 9-10 years old kid possesed with exceptional abilities who later became most powerful Sith Lord who single-handed slaughtered entire X-wing rebel fleets on ep4 (thanks little Ani and his blessed flying skill with that little podracer) with his advanced TIE fighter (thanks little Ani for his passion for machine modification and inventing stuffs...errr sounds familiar now?)...and ended Jedi regime.

Do you even see the irony of what you just wrote? Basically you are saying it is alright for Anakin to be gifted but not Rey who is the hero of the franchise.

The same could be said about Luke who also single handedly blew up the Death Star on his first try and survived the battle despite only flying the X-Wing for the first time.

These are all the main characters of the franchise. They get to be more special and gifted than usual. It doesn't have to be some feminist agenda like claimed.

The beef with Rey comes from lack of knowledge. If you know what's really going on with her the Mary Sue accusations vanish quickly without trace.
