I can't wait to see the evil, black First Order Porgs that got that way after Kylo fed some of Luke's Porgs after midnight.

I have faith that the porgs will keep it all together.

To me the Porgs indicate that LFL isn't afraid to wear their silliness on their sleeve (similar to Cap trolling the audience at the end of Homecoming). I honestly don't even care if they copy the beats of ESB, ROTJ, or whatever. Others can nerd rage about that. As long as it isn't boring or preachy in a political way then I'll be fine with pretty much whatever they do, even if it means Rose and the Porgs get more screen time/badass moments than Master Luke himself, lol.

As long as it isn't boring or preachy in a political way then I'll be fine with pretty much whatever they do, even if it means Rose and the Porgs get more screen time/badass moments than Master Luke himself, lol.

I think anyone who is looking forward to this is in agreement that they are open to anything AS LONG as the OT character arcs and OT story arcs are handled correctly.

BUT the OT elements have to be perfect which admittedly will be like threading the eye of a needle.

If Rian/Kennedy pull that off it will be quite the miracle because TFA 32 year explanation was not a good start although truth be told I loved how Luke was revealed in TFA that in itself has already become iconic.

But that ROTJ victory and FO build up is highly suspect lol.

It's already too late. Han is dead. Luke is a weirdo. Leia will probably just stand around again, doing nothing. The rebellion's actions in the OT meant basically zero because every year we're going to see a new Death Star, Star Destroyers, AT-ATs, Stormtroopers etc.

The only way they can fix everything is if they go back in time to Endor and have the ewoks sterilize Leia and Luke agrees to never being a Jedi again.

It's over.

Honestly I think that these characters will be inherently fine as long as they don't go *out of their way* to screw them up. If Luke just stands around on the island giving Rey pearls of Jedi wisdom before facing off against Snoke or whomever then his arc should be a guaranteed success.

They just need to NOT deliberately have him cork-screwing through the air with saber extended, losing the will to live, saying that he wishes he could wish away his wishes, etc. And if it's true that Kennedy put her foot down when the Lego Bros tried to turn Young Han into Ace Ventura then she probably won't allow any PT-level lameness to befall Luke either. We'll see...

Well I do have that footage of you coming home and trashing all your TFA visual guides and things that you had purchased prior to the film's release, lol.

All they have to do is just film him doing cool stuff, play it back, and edit it out the crap, lol. Just like they did with the stupid Snowtroopers getting bonked on the head by Wampas in Echo Base, Jyn saying "I rebel," etc. It's not that hard. Just *watch the actual movie you made and then cut out the stuff that plays stupider than you initially realized,* lol.

For some reason Lucas became absolutely incapable of doing that after ESB. Even that one fan edit of AOTC showed that there was at least a watchable movie hidden in there.
