Yep I was braced for that too but came away just as impressed as before. I literally heard every single audience member saying the exact same thing too.

:chase

Literally? I think you mean something else. Unless there were 4 or 5 people in the audience. If you really mean literally, please run for president of the US next time. Our current prez also has bigly hearing, believe me. :)

Honest question, hot off your second viewing. Do you love it as a movie? Or do you love it as a Star Wars flick?

As an example of what I mean... I spent a lot of time defending the ever infamous Iron man 3 when it came out and I realized that what people said was true, that it didn't really live up to what had come to be expected, but tbh, I felt it was just so well done, the movie lover in me, overwhelmed the Iron Man fanboi and I just loved the movie for what it is, differences and all.

That's hard for me to answer.

I'd say that I am able to give somewhat of an objective opinion, since I was able to call out the PT for being as bad as it was. For me, AOTC is one of the absolute worst movies I have seen from a major studio. While I don't like the PT, there are elements of the PT that I do like, Maul for one.

I will probably always be a little less critical, because it is Star Wars, but I won't fool myself into liking a bad movie.

While I can understand some of the points critics of TLJ have made, there seem to be too many who hated it based on gender politics, conservative vs liberalism, And just stupid nitpicking for me to separate those views from the ones that I feel are based less on personal politics and More on genuine quality of the film.

I think people are trying to read too much into things. I believe Luke was projecting himself the way he sees himself at his then current age. As for the saber, that was likely a result of him having recently been around the his father’s old lightsaber. I imagine he had long since left his green saber behind, hence why his astral projection did not use it.

.

I'm thinking that force holo-projectoration would a cool dating tool.:lol

I like to think he just wanted to look more like Chuck Norris while phoning the whole thing in.:lecture

We're not really here, just force projections.

That's how powerful with the force we are!

And we are all projecting the way we see ourselves at our now-current ages?:lol

Like you for instance? Projecting judgments like "insecure preferences" and "simply threatened by" onto critics is exactly the sort of personal attack that you claim to be above.

Don't make me break out a 16oz can of "whiny little b*tches" I save for people who don't agree with me.:rotfl

You know...Luke going off to kill himself is not a far fetched idea right?

He jumped off a cliff when Darth Vader told him he was his father....

He has always been suicidal...

Ben taught him well.:dunno

It reminded me of the "residual self-image" that determines how people appear in The Matrix. However in this case I think he was appearing to Kylo as he was the last time they were together.

(Kinda like Anakin's SE Force ghost *ducks*)

I like it.:lol

who is the Tommy Wiseau of this forum?

yeah i always appreciate a lady's beauty, this is true.

I find women very very attractive.

beautiful women make the world a better place

but i have never ever ever Just said the words "I'd do her" because that's kinda ugly, those are chad words.

Sometimes I read your posts with Tommy Wiseau's voice :lol

Glad I almost never agree with the majority, but just saw it again & liked it even more, maybe even loved it. Why is a certain kind of nerd so ******** over this movie, can understand a B-rate actor like Hamill being upset he's not the major focus of a blockbuster, but everyone else needed to see TLJ to realize Luke wasn't the same as he was in ROTJ? Could of told you that after TFA & I was more upset at Han being killed(but knew it was inevitable). Oh well, kill your Star Wars fandom & move on.
