My daughter also loved TLJ...and TFA and OT....

She hates PT , says it’s boring.

Favorite characters? Kylo and Rey and Luke.

Least favorite? Leia.

My son , older and more salty cynic than I was at his age...

Kylo, and Luke.....
Likes RO the best, then TFA the TLJ.

Loves OT , hates PT.

And that’s a totally pointless survey of my young people’s views...

:lol

I think you have her as your sig because you have a animated female fetish.

Honestly, you're not even one of the main culprits I'm referring to.

But hey, if you think I'm an *****, like you said above, why bother reading what I have to say?

A kid that picks Snoke over Kylo is an awesome kid in my book :lol

:rock :duff

It's interesting that she wasn't disgusted by his freaking face though :lol

Yeah I've got them good and desensitized when it comes to nasty faces and things at least as far as what you see in PG/PG-13 movies like POTC, Indiana Jones, JAWS and what have you. The only thing they can't handle is medical gore. The both nearly vomited all over the living room while watching the Dr. Strange surgery scenes, lol.

I keep reading and seeing the same complaints get boiled down to "can't stand to see a woman in a position of power" in Star Wars.

Is your ego and masculinity so ****ing fragile?!

I swear to god, maybe if a few of you managed to at least get laid you might not be so ****ing scared of women.

As a father of 2 Daughters, I'm honestly happy that they have strong female role models to look up to and don't have to be told over and over that they are best keeping their mouths shut and looking pretty.

So sorry some of you just can't handle this, welcome to the 21st century, your ego is going to go through a beating for the rest of your lives.

LMAOOOOOOOO!! preach bro, preach!!:rotfl

I thought I had read that somewhere.

I know several people thought Poe was undercut by Leia and especially Holdo in TLJ, but I liked seeing him grow through the movie. It kinda reminded me of Top Gun, with Maverick acting all "hot shot" and having to grow some by the end.

Yeah but Mavrick got some from Charlie... Maybe Poe and Holdo should've had a hot romance to cut the tension...

Yes I strongly believe that for the absurdity of SW to really work you always need a regular joe/sarcastic character who can step back and roll their eyes at the whole thing so that the audience doesn't have to. Nowhere is it more evident than the PT which has *no* such character. But in the OT you had Han and in RO there was K-2. Obviously Han filled that role again in TFA but in TLJ it was surprisingly Luke that had all those moments where he got to scoff *with* the audience at the narrative for the most part. Which was surprising and actually cool because I thought it helped keep his character relatable and interesting but it was also at the expense of allowing the new characters to really shine.

Which is why I really thought that Poe and Finn were even upstaged by Del Toro. "Eh, they blow you up today, you blow them up tomorrow" is one of my favorite lines in the whole movie, followed by, "It's just business." "You're wrong!" *shrugs* "Maybe." Such a great character. Poe and Finn had moments here and there but neither narrative was really "about" them enough for them to be anything more than competent supporting characters.

Yeah, it's pretty important in this type of movie and always felt that the PT really suffered in part for that reason as well. Jedi/Jedi dynamic does not create conflict/drama. K-2 is possibly the best new Star Wars character since the OT. Was happy to pick up a figure of him as my sole Rogue One representation.

Finn, Poe, and every other heroic character in RO and TLJ are a tough sell, considering we live in the golden age of supehero films. Characters without powers are just not as appealing, unless they have tons of charisma and a cool costume like Solo in the OT.

And a cool ship. That could have been a nice way to make Poe stand out, give him the Outrider or a badass ship like that--a super fast X-Wing or black X-Wing isn't cutting it. Another thing that was great in Rogue One was the U Wing. Best new ship design of the three movies.

Poor Finn was portrayed as a coward and a deserter in both TFA and TLJ. Then when he's finally about to become a hero by sacrificing himself, that gets taken away from him! :lol

I actually can't believe they started in with another suicide attempt after Holdo. Next movie maybe Finn will strap bombs to his chest.

What the hell are you talking about? Where are you seeing that, on reddit? I don't see it here. Women were in charge of the Rebellion in the original trilogy. Do you mean Kathleen Kennedy? I can only speak for myself but I don't like her cause she seems like a cruel ***** who makes bad movies. I don't "fear" her cause she's in charge.

you're a sexist and a woman hating pig who can't get laid... See how easy that was, your opinion has now been invalidated :)

wonder woman sold to a female audience without the need for preaching or the need for adding SJW "shame men" stuff.
Steve was her equal.

the most beautiful about this Last Jedi conversation and the implications of sexism is that wonder woman COMPLETELY blows any of that out of the water and proves that people hate these characters and this producer for being horrible. not because of whats between their legs.

:exactly: but the SJ tools will revert to their standard playbook resorting to name calling because it works. Your post above is a great example, you've had to reference movies like Wonder Woman to prove that you are not a sexist, racist, toxic male :rotfl

And don't forget to mention your daughters....won't someone PLEASE think of all the poor daughters out there that have never ever seen any women characters on the big screen ever???

My favorite SW hero isn't even a Jedi. He's not even a canon character :lol

He's like Kevin Costner dressed like Cable from the X Men.
