I’m with cerealkiller. Maybe rather than running away Luke was merely taking himself out of the equation in the hope it would short-circuit the vicious cycle.

That would be a novel approach for Luke since it isn't like previous Jedi hadn't ever went in hiding for a few years. If that is his reason, they should have a moment in the explanation scene where ghost Obi-Wan and ghost Yoda giving him a thumbs-up, or some other expressive gesture.

Mind blowing great is the overall consensus.

That's what I was expecting (yeah, I know, way to be disappointed...).

I'm only seeing it next Thursday (morning), it's gonna be a long wait...

Good luck. Hard to get through 1&2 for me personally. I usually just start at 3 and go forward.

Trust me the nightmare is over, I will start 3 and Rogue one and maybe 4, but I want to knock out 5,6,7 before Thursday time permitting

I saw a compilation of tweets to that effect.

TFA received all but universal praise at first. Even Andrew O'Hehir's 'negative' review (that of course led to nerd rage) was merely 'meh.' I truly despise the film, more than any of the prequels, because Lucas was at least trying to be creative rather than derivative.

I did see one negative Twitter comment. The guy said it was worse than TFA; he also noted that he loved RO, as did I. Not boding well.

I'm way more excited for The Shape of Water. I can only see movies sporadically based on baby sitters I trust, so that sounds like a better bet and may skip this until I can watch it at home.

No wonder KK is so happy!

There was an awful lot I hated about TFA, but the way they essentially destroyed our main characters as an afterthought was the worst of it for me.

I'll reserve judgment on Luke until I've seen TLJ, but yes, Han and Leia's entire character development in the OT counted for nothing in the end.

I would’ve been much more forgiving of TFA if it had a thrilling space battle so if TLJ is better than TFA and it also has a thrilling space battle which many are pointing out that it does then i’ll remain hopeful.

Do you guys believe anything you read? If so, I've got some great stuff to sell you. Review screw has 14 followers on twitter + no evidence he was at the premiere: 100% a troll.
