how many of these threads are we gonna get. this line is dead. D-E-A-D dead. can't believe people still think this will be coming back. time to move on.

Wow. How ____ing pathetic are some of you guys. You have direct quotes from Sideshow on a possibility (however slim) of these three specific figures being made if the interest is there and all half of you do is ____ on it.

Way to help the final nail to get hammered into the coffin.

As for me...I am getting my kids started on a pictures of the hobbits' figures!

Hey man, I'll support the line coming back, sign a petition, whatever.

But the responses were clearly joking and Sideshow just doesn't have a history of resurrecting dead lines.

This line has about as much of a chance of coming back as Guillermo Del Toro coming back to direct The Hobbit.

At this point, it's almost pathetic. Have you people no shame? :lol

HAHAHAH
Your right, hes just ____ing with us

:lecture:lecture:lecture At this point, Sideshow's turned into Gollum, "Let's us shows you the way, filthy Hobbitses." :lol

the truth is, this is the only way sideshow addresses these questions. they never say "no, the line is done and we're never coming back." they always say "we'd like to revisit the line in the future." they say the second line but they really mean the first line. but the people on these boards don't get that.

All that needs saying is "Highlander". Maybe if I make macaroni figures from Highlander, then sideshow will make the Kurgan that is missing from that line to.

Actually, this is not the truth.

I took it as a way of saying they were actually going to do them so they said make this silly ____

What kind of ass hat has people have there kids make macaroni figs and bull____, then spit in there face??

Oh ya SS does :)

I use to be an avid SS collector. Not anymore. I would get very excited about a line, just to have it never be completed. My Highlander collection never felt complete without the Kurgan. Same with my LOTR collection. I have put most of these back in the box and made room for my Hot Toys items. We collectors have made it very clear how much we want the fellowship completed. I am not going to waste my time making macaroni figures and making my 5 year old draw pictures just to have SS laugh and not complete the fellowship anyway. I order very little from Sideshow anymore. I support other companies.

However, given that detail and design have been brought up here and in other interviews, can the fanbase be ready for a more expensive Hobbit? Sure, the bodies are done, but we would need all the intricate clothing that's been mentioned, as well as possible Ex ideas and accessories. Then there's Gimli, who would need a whole new body type. Given that Star Wars just got a Gamorrean Guard, with brand new body (though limited articulation and accessories/detail) for $120, how much can we expect to pay for a new Gimli with an assortment of axes, detailed armor, and (hopefully) a swap-out head without helmet.

I honestly wouldn't care if these figs costs as much as a hot toys figure as long as it keeps going or rather comes back. Like you said the SW line is getting more expensive so it's only natural that the LOTR line will get more expensive as well

I'd actually prefer a Sauarmon and some orcs over Merry and Pippin and my DID gimli is good enough so i sometimes forget he was never made by SS. with that said...I'd buy any 1/6 LOTR products sideshow makes.
Agreed! I want some villains! Not just the rest of the fellowship. Though I want a SS gimli an would like to see some variations of characters like helms deep aragorn (with the exclusive being a better duster coat) and helms deep legolas. I mean look how many Obi-Wan, Anakin and Luke figures there are!

Can't they work with Hot Toys to bring some of the orcs? I understand the LOTR brand has nowhere the steam it had a few years ago, but I think some well-made HT-quality orcs would get people back in the game.

Yeah, look how well that worked out for Hell Boy and PotA. :lol

Same Sideshow blah-blah-blah. Not ever gonna happen. You really think Sideshow is gonna reinvest anything into a line that faltered every step of the way the first time out? The two most popular hobbits too a couple YEARS to sell through. Gandolf didnt do much bette, he hung around forever, and he was by far the best of the line. People complained about the cost of the Hobbits when they came put a couple years ago, sold now you could easily tack on another $50 and they will sell just as poorly and more than likely worse. And Gimli...well....it just isnt gonna happen.

Please move on people. Clinging so desperately to the hope for these is just sad and pathetic now.

You just want to eat my macaroni Gimli, don't you?
