I can't think of one person I have ever talked to say they like it. I can't even imagine why anyone would (and I have a healthy imagination).

STOP THE DOT!!!!!!

Actually, the medicommies like the dot on their figures. They always complain about it on Sideshows' figures but never on Medicom's. :huh :lol

I can't wait until Sideshow stops the dot so that some comedian will start a thread titled, "Bring Back The Dot!"...* ;)

I'm not mentioning any names...

Bump.

While we do greatly appreciate the feedback from our collectors, we do ‘filter’ the input. We tend to pay more attention to the civilized discussions and e-mails, and appreciate constructive criticism. Constructive conversations, i.e. the ongoing ‘doll dot’ campaign and others - do impress us. When possible, we will even join in on these types of threads and discussions.

Sideshow = :rock

Seems every campaign a Krusaders starts, it gets notice by Sideshow.That is Power my friends.

I just seriously don't understand how anyone (especially the professionals) think that the dot looks good... and adds "realism". :huh

The fact that they think that way at all gives me pause.

In 2D art I think it's a standard way to add life to eyes, which are otherwise very difficult to make real. Humans naturally and instinctively put a lot of stock in the appearance of eyes to distinguish many things - everything from 'is this human?' to 'friend or foe?'. You know the old, "eyes are the window to the soul" thing. So I can see how Mr. Gilliland and his team would have originally decided to go with the dot to subtly enhance realism.

Part of the problem is that the Sideshow dot is a distinct, well-shaped dot. Real light reflections on eyes are often more diffuse.

In a 3D sculpture that will have its own real light source(s) shining on it, the white dot may not be necessary to add realism to the piece.

Here endeth the lesson. :lecture
