Yeah. And that’s why I’ve been antsy for first impressions. I’m interested, but for their first foray into 1/6 with the Kombat line I want it to be worth it. I still feel the lack of alternate headsculpts, gore effects, and proper high-end stands… but if the figures are great, I’ll manage.

I heard they’re a bit on the short side. Do we have a size comparison yet?
Only one I've seen with another 1/6 scale is this pic off fb but the pose makes it hard to see with the pose and position relative to camera, we'll have to wait a bit for more review, I think.

Anyone know how tall that ghost rider is?

I had that Ghost Rider at one point and don’t remembering him being large or short for a HT figure. I mean the flames made him a little taller but the height where the skull is felt pretty average height. It looks like these will blend in just fine. I was worried they were going to be closer to the 11” inches they were advertised some places.

He's in front of the camera but looks like he's also crouched more so if I had to guess based on distance to camera and forced perspective, he roughly comes up to top of the head of the skull on ghost rider. Good to know it's a pretty standard 1/6 scale.

Encouraging.

… and also making me curious how easily I can get a good flaming skull head for a Toasty Fatality setup.

I just received my scorpion by surprise. I ordered from Storm directly and didn't get any shipping notifications. I'm pretty happy with the figure and it's articulation. Of course it would look better if it was fully seemless. To my surprise, the swords are real metal. The Kunai aren't, aside from the chain. The Skull head sculpt and a better base would of been nice, especially for the price.

Definitely looking for more impressions. I've had Scorp and Sub in my checkout cart for days now, but need to just get all the reviews I can. He seems smaller than the Worldbox figure, which isn't a huge deal, but I find it amusing Storm says the smaller line is 1/12 and they're often 7", while saying this is 1/6 and they appear a bit smaller than the 6'2" he's listed as.

Knowing about the materials used for the weapons is interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the pics, looks great! Any chance we can get an accurate height measurement? Hard to tell from the pics, he's standing behind the worldbox scorpion and crouched next to subzero.

I swapped the worldbox bodies, forgot if it added of subtracted a bit of the height from the original figures. i feel the size comparisons or relatively positive. The shoulders sit higher on the Storm Scorpion.

Fantastic, that puts any doubts I had about scale at ease. Thank you.

Pics check out to me, I think he looks great. The only question now is do I get the matching Sub-Zero? Or get the PopToys Movie Scorpion from the last movie?

Tough call.

For me, this is always personal and emotional. I think that movie one technically looks better and more realistic.

But my brother and I grew up with the classic designs. His favorite was Scorpion. Mine was Sub-Zero. And our battles were legendary. I’d get both and think of those memories every time I saw the display.

Got mine this week out of no where and opened it a few mins ago. All in all it’s a pretty great figure. Quality feeling all around. Nice sculpting, paint and tailoring and an overall bad ass ness to it. To me though it’s somewhere caught between a high end figure and a toy. The sculpted sash and hood and of course the crappy elbows all point to toy.

With seemless arms at the least it would take the cake.

A bit overpriced but this is storm. Charging you 200 bucks for a 6 inch Liu Kang for example.

But yeah not Having the skull head felt like something was missing.

He could be a stand alone but since they released sub zero, well I don’t know who in their right mind could not know both are needed.

Noob on the other hand is a pass for me. And other than ninjas you know this line is not going deep. Having said that reptile was always a favorite of mine so he may be hard to pass up.

I actually kinda love this, still a bnit overpriced, but if they make an Ermac, or a Smoke I might have to pick one up, especially since I see he fits right in with world box's superior sub zero.

I bit the bullet and ordered Scorpion and Sub-Zero from the Bandai Store. They had a 10% off coupon with flat shipping, and the Bandai store versions come with a double set of bloodied weapons and stands.

I still wish I had found the Worldbox figures in their prime, but these look like worthy classic incarnations, and that's ultimately the versions my brother and I grew up with. I'm having them face off in their original poses, and hopefully I'll get a diorama built for my shelf as well.

I dressed up as Sub-Zero for Halloween in 1995. Yeah, the nostalgia is too high for me to resist.

What’s weird is that it says it qualifies for free shipping but it’s stuck at flat rate $10 when you actually checkout. Odd.

Odd. My invoice has the $10 shipping and handling.

Yeah, it was there up to the Process screen and I wasn’t proceeding without it removed. Ending up just PO’ing from elsewhere for $225.

I can just dab some fake blood on the spear if I ever choose to. The bloody swords are something I probably would never use anyway.
