Glad I never bought those. Not true 1/6 and cost more than they’re worth.
Yepppp. Not sure how Storm Collectibles who has made good seamless (mostly) figures in the past such as Mike Tyson, Mohammed Ali & Hulk Hogan resort to making Mortal Kombat arms like this. These definitely do not TEST YOUR MIGHT.
I've already ranted about how I wish they were seamless, but it hasn't been bad enough for me to feel the urge to do a full body-swap. Maybe when I have more time and disposable income.
I did calculate they aren't proper 1/6 scale (they should be 6'2", but the figures we have are closer to 5'8" scaled down), it's not really a problem when I have them together, and some minor ankle extenders fixed up most of that issue.
These are such weird releases because I'm both inordinately happy to have durable, poseable, high-quality 1/6 Mortal Kombat figures of my favorite characters in their classic attire. Every time I see them, I AM happy to have them.
But I also know that the Mortal Kombat bias in me that goes back to the Sega Genesis days colors my feelings. Objectively, they were overpriced, their seams are a problem for many that want seamless and realism, the stands are outright junk, and having just reposed them last week and swapping in new hands they continue to be the most frustrating hands I've ever had the displeasure of working with.
... But, dammit, I'm such a big Mortal Kombat fan that I still am glad they got made and hope more get made. I absolutely would get Reptile.
