looks really good to me. So its the paint that is falling short? I dont know the actors, but the realism of the head sculpt looks great to me.

Figure and sculpt looks good to me. The Enterbay faces don't seem to require much paint, but I think it's the hair that hurts the figure more than anything. The face looks real, it's just the hair look toy-ish. The arm joints do look kind of bad for a bare-armed figure like this though.

Ordered Cloud the other day. Has Wind hit yet? I know the release date was supposed to be the 30th....

1st batch released in HK ard last week was a failure & created an uproar among collectors....eb however was quick to announce that in mid-May, a newly painted head will be available for subsequent batches & also for exchange for those whom had already collected.

A comparison of promo pic, prototype & actual product shots taken by various HK collectors,

The so call newly painted head replacement in mid may, I think they are only going to fix the eyes, I dont have high hope for it

Yeah... after looking on some of the Hong Kong boards (which I can't read, just like the pretty pictures), they seem to be having an absolute fit over how this came out.

I don't get it... The only thing I can see is that the hair is more plasticy looking than the proto pics... but otherwise I think they look awesome and can't wait to add them to my collection. It helps that I'm a total sucker for martial arts figs but STILL....

Reminds me of the Big Chap fiasco....

I don't see a problem with them, they look great.

Yep, they look pretty awsome to me. I think too many people have unrealistic expectations sometimes.
We actually live in overindulged, privileged and somewhat expensive times... but it's all good!

The paint doesn't look as great as the protos and Im sure that is what their beef is with. Im most interested in the armor figures so we will have to wait to see how those turn out. Sculpts look great to me.

I too am confused as to what justifies the amount of negativity Wind in particular is getting? They both look very much like the actors in the film...I also think when it comes to realistic headsculpts, Enterbay wins hands down over Hot Toys...

Pictures lies :clap I only show the good and hide the bad.

To be fair, are they really that bad? NO, not at all, much better than I expected, specially the clothing and armor, they looks really nice.

Cloud sculpt likeness is 90%+ from all angle, only suffer from ugly ball join/long neck and lazy paint job (HS) .... oh, and those worst looking hands I've ever seen from a 1/6 figure.

The problem with Wind is, it looks so much different from the proto/shop display, is like two totally different HS, and the paint job made him looks like he is on drugs or something. Wind only looks good/ok when you look at him straight in front, otherwise, the likeness is totally off and the neck is just way too long. The armor and clothe are very nice tho.

This is the paint job I expected from an Enterbay figure but may be not this time when they are rushing out 6 figures in 2 months.

I'm probably not a good candidate to comment since I haven't receive them yet, but based on the pictures floating ard...the difference lies with how the eyeballs & eyebrows were painted, skin tone & not to mention the wonky "oh I just woke up" hair shape.

Personally the eyes/eyeballs really make or break a figure's likeness, so if eb only repaint the eyeballs for the mid-may release, reckon the likeness level would definitely increase to become closer to prototype standard.

Expectations in this case are not unrealistic at all, eb had nailed a good likeness prototype of this particular HK actor but be it due to sloppy paint supervision or poor instructions etc., this Wind now resembles other HK actors. This deviation's pretty unacceptable even for me as a casual HK movie viewer, more so for those whom grew up watching these HK actors' movies.

I'm sure eb's quick response showed that they acknowledged the problem too, so hopefully the mid-may new head info. is not just to patronize.

Lord Godless in production, releasing beginning of June

New batch of Wind currently being repainted

If they come as good as those photos I'm getting the pair. Don't know the movie or really plan to but those two figures are awesome.
