And it's easy to beat Ill, all he does is use Chun-Li and does the same thing as Sithlord does... jump kick, fast kick. Jump kick, fast kick, helicopter kick.

Question for you guys who are playing this on harder modes.

The computer seems to auto-counter your attack and when this happens the character flashes and they hit you back once they block your initial attack.

I know this cant be a focus move because they dont even have any of their special meter filled at all...and there isn't that black ink effect.

so how do you do this kind of counter?

Admitidly though I haven't touched a SF game since SF II turbo.

I think there(computer) doing a EX cancel into a move. It could be a focus cancel to EX also(thus the reason the black focus trailer isnt there).Both of these are very common on harder settings or agianst high skilled players.

You can still do those without anything in your special meter? I thought you needed at least 1/4 of the meter for any EX cancel or Focus?

It's weird...say i do a low sweep with ken using the strongest kick...the computer 'takes' the hit and absorbs it, and automatically hits me once with a strong attack of their own right away. this happens at the start of a fight too so all of our meters are zero.

It can only be done out of some moves. I believe all focus attacks can be canceled to another move. Play the trial challenge and you'll come across just what i'm talking about.

hmm. I know for fact its not a counter cause those were removed from this SF version. I know focus can absorb atleast 1 hit(more the longer the buttons are held down. I'm not sure if the gauge needs to be filled for a focus attack though.



Edit: Its a focus attack. You can focus attack no matter what the energy level is.

nice i'll try it out. it works for the comp when you knock them down and try to get near to do a quick hit as they get back up.

Yea getting up from a knock down is just too easy in this game with the wakeups that most characters have. Focus attacks are over rated IMO cause they can be avoided for the most part.
