Stupid Forum Words or Phrases I hate

No more hellraising from me. I wash my hands of my past sins. *wash wash* I was a real ass. Heh. Thank goodness the mods here are delightful persons who don't ban at the drop of a hat.

I did draw one more picture of Pierre Noir but it was a rough sketch. He was an old-timey captain on a ship (I drew it on a trip to the coast). But besides that I really haven't been doodling much I'm sorry to say. A few dinky Air-man pictures in some of my journals.

And yes, the cancer has been defeated! I do have a check up on the 22nd but I'll have to cancel it, can't afford to pay for it.

P.S. could we add "care bear" to this list?

My own pet peeve is when anybody posts a message and has to show off their vocabulary.

If it can be said using 1 or 2 syllable words...cut the pretense and stop using 10 syllable words taken from medical encyclopedias. You know...the words that they used to call "25 cent words" back in the day.

People with larger vocabularies can get their messages to more people if they speak to everyone (read: can be understood by everyone), and I do not mean speak down to anyone.

You know, I do most of the grammar mistakes some of you have listed. Actually, it's just the way we speak and write around here.

The only time anything like that bothers me is when someone points it out. It bothers me when people correct every little misspelt word that some make.

I'm sick and tired of the word "clunky" being used to describe tech. It's not a problem here (obviously, because this isn't a tech forum), but it is a problem on virtually every tech blog and newspaper ever.

It seems like "clunky" is the go to word for when a writer can't describe why he or she doesn't like something or is too lazy to give a proper description.

If I talk you in my native tongue and actually take the time to spell words out I respect you and you are deserving of me treating you like you are intelligent, otherwise you get the GTFO, STFU, WTF ..sauce... nugget treatments or even better yet "word 2 ur mothaaaaa"

Okay, I just have to say that the post above reads like it was made by a robot that was manufactured in a lab to be the perfect specimen of a *********.

I mean, really. It's absolutely dumbfounding.

Phrases like "deserving of me treating you like you are intelligent" and "so I don't have to waste time on u" can only possibly come from:

1) Jest. [God I hope it's in jest.]
2) Colossal arrogance


When I made it to your ____-list for eating Double Downs (probably the lamest reason anyone has ever made it to anyones ____-list) it bugged me, and I hoped to win you over in time. But after seeing this post, I hope to God I stay firmly placed in your ____-list. The things that you imply are necessary to be treated with respect by you will never come from me. And if I ever become one of the people that you respect I will have sold my soul.

What ever happened to treating all people with respect?
