I've got a stupid question that I posted under the "General Collectibles" board, but that board seems to move much slower than the others so there are no responses there at the time.

Can some plastics used for KO figures actually give you cancer if you handle them directly? I can't tell if the rumors have any factual evidence or if it's all just hyperbole.
