Yes, cause some people miss sitcom like Friends, Seinfeld. Some even re-watch cause of nostalgia. The royalty fee are low compare to when they are fresh, so they don't need advertising dollars to be so high, to make good money. These show are a proven hit, soon to be a classic. Trust that it's all calculated.

she said movie....
one movie 24 hours

Do tv networks actually make good advertising dollars running the same movie or show for 24 hours straight? More and more are doing it now. Hard to believe someone would buy ad time during that.

She also said show....

Also some network got no money to spend on new movies/shows so they need to fill it up on late night. :monkey4

FX showed Minions for 24 hours today
AMC Showed Godfather today and Titanic yesterday
Freeform is showing the Harry Potter movies all weekend
USA showed Chrisley Knows Best all day
Sundance showed Gone With the Wind
Comedy Central showed South Park
BBC America shows most of their shows in a loop it seems. Today is Star Trek TOS

I understand the reruns, but I just don't get these endless loops of shows all day, for 24 hours or all weekend. They must give discounts on advertising.

it actually sounds like they dont expect anyone to be watching tv so they play these to have something on for people to have in the background

They're probably milking their license. And you could be right about advertising too. Mr. Green canceled cable a few months ago. No point in paying for mostly junk and he only watch like 2% of the shows/movies anyway.

What I hate is that they have 3 or 4 of the same exact channel playing the same thing. Why? They make it think like you're getting a whole lot of channels when really you aren't. They're just repeated.

Is it wrong to find John Oliver’s Dustin Hoffman ambush disgustingly exploitative and self serving?

I don’t watch Oliver’s show and don’t care about Hoffman but the whole thing seemed more about watching John Oliver display his disapproval than any real discussion or progress.

But seems like popular opinion is that he was right on.

:dunno

Hunter's article is the most boring, poor-me piece of writing about sexual harassment I've ever read.

A few lewd comments and some ***-grabbing in 1985.... ffs Oliver...

Why do a lot of sellers not bother posting pictures of the items they're selling? It seems illogical to me. I realize they think that we already know what the product looks in general, but that doesn't mean yours look like that.

OR their box has scratches or something

What if it's still sealed in the shipper?

Depends on what it is. If it's a statue then I still want to see it to make sure there's no damage. Even Hot Toys can be an iffy purchase on an unopened one. You have to do your research on the item and see if there are common QC issues because you're not going to get help from anyone if you buy an unopened damaged product on the secondhand market. I don't like having to mess around with returns and getting a refund so I'd rather know what I'm getting before I buy.
