Reminded me of a call I got yesterday from a guy claiming to be from windows defence team or virus busting squad or some other nonsense, telling me I have a virus on my pc.

I'm like yeah so what?
Strung him along for about 5 minutes, him asking me to click on this and that on my pc.
Was'nt even at the keyboard and eventually told him I don't even own a pc so how the hell can I have a virus?

He said why did'nt you say so at the start of the call?
I said to waste your time like you are doing ringing me over and over now _____k Off!!

Why do I get sucked in to watching a movie on tv when I have that same movie on dvd or Bluray and I could watch it without editing and commercials?

but there is a reason, when you are watching the DVD you are alone by yourself watching, when it is on tv you are watching with hundreds or thousands of people, there is something about knowing that maybe you are watching the same movie with all these people all over place,
well at least for me it happens,
is like yeah the commercials are incredibly annoying, but I wonder who is watching the same movie at the same time,

specially when is like 2 AM, then it gets really interesting, Am I the only person watching that movie? is there someone else awake watching the same thing?

That seems kinda sad, pathetic and desperate.

Not really. I've a self-made business I own/run which is about to go into publication again (thats been in hiatus functioning as an eZine due to the economy). I work at the computer multitasking and when I'm not at the comp, spend quality time with my family. Though I suppose I could use the time more wisely to spend cash on blow and hookers instead of chatting it up with fellow geeks and blowing it on toys, cons, and family outings. I'm sorry, did you think we were the same?

I was just saying, people usually like crowds to watch movies or games, and online we all talk to strangers on these little screens,
so what I Was saying about watching the movies and wondering who else is watching the same movie, I meant that i didn't think it was so pathetic, because technically right now we are doing the same, I guess is that sense of community humans want. so my example of the movies being played on tv was part of that

I have to say, I have never once thought "what other people out there in the world are watching what I am watching on tv?" Mostly I think I am too damn lazy to get my ass off the couch to go put in the dvd.

I do the same thing, but I have a thing for not wanting to stop a dvd once I start it, whereas, on TV, you can go pee or raid the fridge during commercials.

Also, if I start a dvd, I have to watch it all the way through. On tv if I get sleepy, I can just turn it off, or fall alseep. I don't like doing it with a dvd I start.
